Lemme blog here for while...

i find mrs.baddiley lesson today rather interesting and thought-provoking...and i quite agree with what she said most of the time (hope none of u are offended)..

and i kinda fancy this type of talking session in GP...much more than writing or stoning...

and

12th March, saturday of the tenth week of first term , is Capriccio XXI, the band concert!!!! i shall book you guys now!

ok...shall tell a story here...
one day, when a pig and a cow walked on a bridge, they both fell into the river that is full of crocidiles. Why did the crocodiles eat only cow but not pig??

ANSWER: the crocodiles are Muslim (nobody offended :)

and congrates Buggy for doing us proud in Bio O!!!

angel-mortal
Wednesday, January 12, 2005 / 6:52 PM / timo

heys. came to blog abit despite all the practicals to complete!! :)

hmm abt the angel-mortal game.. it does not seem as fun as we played it in j1.
maybe cos we are all suffering from all that work?
but still we make it a point to reply and make the juniors happy :D
some ppl are apparently still in the dark,
while some others have already come to the light!
haha. i agree there's not much fun left when u alrdy know ur angel,
but just pretend dunno and continue lah. :)

and then a series of weird things happened!
ruyan mysteriously got some "love" letters from a junior (is it love?).
dunno whether prank or what but the response from YEW was quite funny.
fussing over a mere letter haha.
go find out who the author of those letters is lah.
and i think meihui has gotten herself an additional angel too. (or so i heard)
and zichao also has gotten himself a cryptic letter too.
he refused me access to the contents of the letter,
except that his name was spelt wrongly on the exterior.
maybe that was done on PURPOSE?
strange things seem to be happening in 04S7A..
(hope the juniors aren't grinning now :P)

CCA orientation. so messy. but i guess it's alright if the j1s are having fun.
in fact, they were playing truth or dare somewhere near the Zen garden.
it's rare to see classes have such excellent class bonding at a time so early in the year.
not that it's rare but they certain beat us in terms of class spirit in the first 3 mths.
and i learnt a few more names! blah blah. glad to know more juniors.
-trying to break out of the sotong monotony-
it rained while we were performing.
put cold blanket on us... maybe it's cos the skies dun like us to play the same songs AGAIN?
anyway it went quite well.
it wasn't audible, so all my mistakes weren't audible too :)

thinking back... isn't so great to have such a wide variety of CCAs for j1s to join.
if only i hadn't involved myself so heavily in huangcheng last year...
i may very well have gotten myself 2 other CCAs!
too late for regrets now! :P
i guess it's up to us to let the juniors in on what's gd for them!

-going back to the damn practicals...-

orientation campfire :)
Saturday, January 08, 2005 / 6:51 PM / boonshan

Wheeee...had a fantastic time last night! Successfully passed on our "tradition of excellence"...made juniors feed each other at zen garden (whats more, the food is the same as last year's..), followed by the hair spraying/ sculpting (which made them so prominent during campfire, esp in the hall. :D) (n sorrie to the pple in class who didnt want to have their hair sprayed :S )

Campfire was sooo fun..our excellent juniors got into the finals!!1 Though i thot the setting isnt too good for performing skits..lousy acoustics..noisy crowd n all..Am totally impressed by this batch as a whole..they seem to be brimming with creativity or sumthing...dun rmb having entertaining items like the "left turn, right turn" (or is it turn right, turn left...wadeva..) or beautiful class flags like A11 n S65..such an ingenious design of a flag that can be turned 180 deg...
Song session...erm....let's see how we can put it...well, displayed our ultimate class unity...got berne n wanlin to stand tog n twirled round esther n zichao (like some tribal dance...) so fun.. :) (dun kill me...)

Dance ..some funny phenomenon observed...guys dancing with guys n gals dancing with gals...something's funny going on...why is this gender divide getting more apparent over the days?

Supper...were having fun making pple do forfeit...would have ended nicely if not for some irritating, rights concious woman living up there...ok..so tt is private property n we shldnt be making a hell lot of noise at bout 11 in the night..but it's not as though we do it every night n with the intention of depriving them of sleep..couldnt she have come down n told us nicely to lower our volume? Fancy throwing some lousy piece of green paper down...Talk about being considerate n sensitive to others...Well..shall be nice n give her the benefit of the doubt..maybe she has elderly at home, sick people, etc who needs to rest..and anw, we do have no business being there...wadeva..we still had fun :)
Well well...hope next year's campfire will be equally fun...7A rox! (n may the tradition of excellence continue.. :P)

music for relief

MUSIC FOR RELIEF

In response to the recent devastation in Southern Asia, Linkin Park along with the American Red Cross has formed Music For Relief, an effort by concerned musicians and fans to provide emergency funds for quake and tsunami victims. All donations go directly to aid the victims and their families. Linkin Park has made an initial contribution of $100,000 and is calling on other musicians, as well as fans, to contribute to the fund.

Linkin Park's Brad Delson says of the band's efforts, "We are fortunate to be in a position to help, but this needs to be a broader effort - both by our fans and by other musicians. If one of our fans can donate $10, then that's going to help." Delson adds, "We are also going to appeal to our musical peers by asking them to donate as well. The bottom line is the more we can do, and the quicker we can do it, the more lives we can save."

Earlier this year, Linkin Park performed to sold-out stadium crowds in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. The shows were heralded as the largest rock concerts in those countries in the past ten years. Delson says of the experience, "The outpouring of emotion from our fans there was overwhelming. It really affected us. We started Music For Relief so that our fellow musicians and fans can give in this time of need to the families of the over 70,000 people who have perished. This money will also be used to aid the millions left homeless by this natural disaster, it's our way of giving back to the people who so desperately need it."

You can help those affected by this crisis by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund which provides supplies, medicine, and shelter to those in need. Donations can be made at www.musicforrelief.org, or by phoning 1-800-HELP-NOW. When you call, be sure to press option #2 and tell the representative that you called because of Music for Relief.

As a member of the LPU, Linkin Park needs your help in getting the word out on this cause. We want you to spread the word about how you can help by getting this information to make any donation possible out to everyone you know by word of mouth, email, IM, on messageboards, and by letting classmates, friends, and peers know they can make a difference in an easy way.

Visit http://www.musicforrelief.org/ for more information, and see the MTV news story about this at http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1495207/12282004/linkin_park.jhtml?headlines=true.

Linkin Park thanks you for all your help and concern.
