ISSMA Regionals

Jeremy signed up for two groups at ISSMA this year.
He was part of a baritone trio. They played Trio for Trombones by Mozart.
I think they did great - not that I am biased or anything.  However, they pulled a gold so onto state we go!!!!
Then we hung around so that he could perform with his second group - a quintet.
They played Rondeau and were fantastic. They scored even higher on this piece (Which is actually a lower number since it is like golf.)
Gold! So off to state competition for them as well!!!

What we do while we listen.

Purdue Jazz Festival - Brenden

Free sunglasses make everything better (and a treat!).

Brenden is getting really good of his Bari Sax.

It was fun to listen to his Jazz Band perform. He was hidden behind his music stand the whole time - and then I realized if I moved I could see him!!!

Purdue Jazz Festival - Jeremy

This is how excited Tabitha was to be here.
This is the amount of excitement I was able to bribe out of her.
 Jeremy did a great job.
Going to Purdue is always fun - but we keep touring the same part! Mostly, because it is too cold to go anywhere else.

Tabitha's Quilt

Tabitha finished her quilt. We worked on it together, but she did a lot of it.  I had fun with her quilting lines. A basket weave.
She couldn't wait to use the hearts to decorate her edges.

Pinky enjoying her new quilt.

Roxie Trixie

We borrowed this crate from one of Jeff's co-workers soon after we got Roxie.  Part of the deal was that I would take pictures of the crate so that she could sell it.  I finally got around to it - right as Roxie was growing out of it. She has a much bigger crate now. She is growing so fast. We wonder how big this dog is going to get.

Roxie really wanted to walk on my quilt - but she knew she wasn't allowed.
She loved the snow!  she loved eating it, rolling in it and running in it.
This was her passed out after a day of doggie daycare.  She loved going and I love to send her - she is calm the rest of the night!

State Museum Fun

Every Martin Luther King day the State Museum is on our must do list.  This year the free play room was definitely the attraction the kids liked best. They could have stayed here for hours.
This is right up the boys alley.
We also took in an Imax: Huble. It was fantastic to see so many of the new pictures the telescope has sent back in recent months.
A fun family tradition that the older kids are growing tired of, but this might just have turned things around this year.
