Back to School, Costco and Dafunny

January 4th - January 14th:

After such a fun break and holiday, it was back to school on the 4th.  The kiddos were excited to see their friends, and to get back to a routine.  We are once again busy with homework, after school activities and church activities.  Ryan is also enjoying his trips to Costco one a week.  His claim to fame is that he has visited every Costco in Utah except Ogden.  However, I'm sure it won't be long before he visits there too.

Rachel had a special day with Ryan because she finished her book for her book report.  She picked out this nice Dollie and Me pajamas for her and her dolly.

On a family trip to Costco, she picked out another Dollie and Me outfit with her own money.  She was sooo excited to show it off.

Dafunny has found herself a wonderful snuggle buddy.  Gracie loves to cuddle with her and tickle her tummy.

NewPort Beach, Lego Land, St. George and New Years.

December 28th - January 3rd:

During the second week of Christmas Vacation, we went to NewPort Beach, CA.  We had a great time.  It was a lot colder than we thought it would be, but that didn't stop the kiddos.  They loved going swimming, walking on the beach and all the other outdoor activities we had planned.

On Monday December 28th, we went to Lego Land.  It was chilly and very crowded.  Halfway through the day, it began to rain, so the lines became a lot shorter.  This is about the time the kiddos started to enjoy themselves.  They found the driving range and went on the ride over and over.  They also had a great time visiting the mini-cities in the center of Lego Land.  It was fun to visit, but I'm not sure it was worth it to go again.

Ryan was soooo excited to meet Rick Sutcliffe.  He is a former baseball player for the Cubs.  So, of course, we had to have a picture with the whole family.

The next few days, we hung out at the hotel and went to the beach.  The kiddos had a great time playing in the kids zone, playing games, walking the beach and looking for treasure with Ryan's metal detector (unfortunately, they did not find any).

Rachel loved being in the nice 80 degree pool.  She was our little dolphin and would not get out.

The girls were able to meet Eva Kolker from Girl Meets World on the Disney Channel.  She was staying with her Grandparents in the same hotel and they had spent the afternoon playing in the kids zone together with her and her sister (mostly with her sister though).

After a fun filled four days in California, we drove back to St George to spend New Years with the Cousins.  We celebrated with Lori and Dave and their family.  All of the kiddo's made it to midnight and had fun running wild with their cousins.  The parent's were exhausted, but enjoyed visiting, watching movies and eating treats as well.

Braces, Gingerbread, Christmas and Disc

December 21st - December 27th:

On December 23rd, Joshua had braces put on his teeth.  I searched through my photo library and could not find a picture of him smiling with his teeth showing, so I am going to have to search Ryan's photos or try and take one. The little nerd refuses to smile.

On December 24th, we went and had dinner with Ryan's family and Zach and Melissa's house.  We had a great time visiting with them and Jay and Tauna who also came.  The kiddos had a great time playing with their cousins.

We also decorated our gingerbread house for the season.  The kiddos had a great time decorating and eating candy.

The kiddos (Well everyone but Morgan) were up and ready to open gifts on Christmas Day at 5:30 in the morning.  Emily even caught Joshua sitting by his stocking trying to find out what Santa had put inside.  We made them go back to bed and wait until 6:30 to come out of there rooms.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

After presents were opened and most of them put together,  Grandma Jean Ann and Grandpa Chris, and Uncle Randy's family all came over for Christmas dinner.  We had a great time visiting and the kiddos loved showing/sharing their presents with everyone.
