Mother's Day

Thanks to this handsome man I am a mother.  I love being a mom.  It definitely isn't the easiest thing in the world, but it is the most rewarding.  I love that I have been able to be at home with my kiddos for the past 15+ years.  I have loved watching them grow and learn and grow some more.  Each of my children are amazing and I can't imagine our family without them.  I had the privilege of speaking in church on Mother's Day and while it was a little scary and I probably offended someone, I felt that the Lord inspired me to speak from my heart and I hope that everyone felt that.  Our bishopric put on a lovely luncheon for all the sisters in our ward and it was nice to have everyone together in the same room.  The kids happily gave me some gifts they had picked out with Greg and they made me yummy food.  I got to talk to my mom all morning and the kids each took turns talking with her as well.  It was a great day!

I love our photo shoots and i love playing games and doing puzzles with the family.  So much laughter and fun had by all.  I even had the time to make some yummy sourdough bread-YUM! I look forward to many more years of fun with my special family.

Hope of America

It's our 3rd time attending Hope of America and it was awesome and we were able to get out of the building quickly and home in time to get ice cream before it was too late.  It is pretty cool to see what our state does to bring patriotism to our children.  I love America and I am so thankful for the freedoms the I enjoy.

Student Council Election

This lovely lady decided to try out for student council.  I was amazed at her courage, especially when a teacher said she maybe shouldn't because she was shy.  She and I made 500 Felix Fidgets and they were a huge hit at the school.
Annabelle had the idea to bring Donald Trump into her skit.  We had fun putting him together.  He scared as all week by sitting on our couch.  Even Greg jumped a few times.

Annabelle has great friends that were willing to wake up early and come and help her pass out the fidget spinners.  I subbed 3 times that week so it was fun to hear all the chatter about Annie at the school.

I was so very nervous for Annabelle and her speech.  She was too, but she was the one doing it.  I woke up at 4:45 and kept going over the speech in my head, I did NOT need to be doing that.  Annabelle nailed the speech. The whole school loved it and she got tons of applause.  She did run out of time because there was so much applause when Trump said, "We are going to build a wall!"  I am SO VERY Proud of Annabelle and her bravery.

I had a little fun with Donald after the assembly.

All afternoon I fretted.  I really didn't know what to expect.  When I heard Annabelle didn't make it I didn't know how to react.  When I lost in 5th grade my mom took me out to ice cream.  Annabelle didn't want to talk and she just wanted to go into her room and be alone.  I brought her a brownie sundae and waited.  When I went to find Callie to make her a sundae, I found her crying behind a couch.  She was so sad for her sister and it was so sweet.  About 40 minutes later Annabelle's door was open and we had a good chat.  She had been working on sewing clothes for the new doll she bought herself.  I helped her a little and she was a happy girl from then on.  She even made it to her Baby-Sitters Club and the girls there were really sweet to her.

 Just a little therapy.
