D's Celebration

Per his request - Ak made him a cheesecake!

Through the summer - he ate pretty healthy (lots of fruits, vegetables, and protein) - so this was a treat!   He doesn't even mind cauliflower crust pizza!   He always makes us laugh .... he wrote "My wife is hot" on our driveway with a power washer?! Along with this message:

                                                                     We love you dad!!!

New School Year Begins

With the pandemic, there was a couple week delay.   B started college classes with the local community college at EC3 the week before the public schools started.   So she got a picture taken on both "first days of school."

First Day of in person seminary on our back porch!

Fun at the White House & Cam's House

B had online college class work but didn't want to left home when we were going on a "outing" ... so she came along!  We tried to get there in time to log on on time - but had to use mom's phone - then she was able to set up for some homework time.   (although she'd rather play with the dogs)  :)  This is one of my old college roommate's Kelly's house/kids.

  Z
Z loves hanging out with Beau!!!  (zipline below)
Ak & B were happy too - who wouldn't be with such fun toys!

We have another friend that lives close to the White's -- they used to live in Etown.   So we went there for a bit too!!!

Pool Room Construction

During Spring Break we started a big project that would take months . . . .

They put up insulation . . .

Drywall .  . .

Mud....

Painted...

D researched this floor finishing technique (originally with a brown paper bag).   Cheap.  Different.  Rip up paper and glue it to the concrete.

Coating the grey paper wasn't the look D was going for - so he decided to paint the floor.

Then gave it a couple finishing coats.... and viola!
