Free Circus Tickets

We got 5 free tickets and D had class - so we took a friend of B's!

We had seen this couple on America's Got Talent or something .  . . fun to see in person!

The kids were sad to leave during the intermission - but we had to get home!  It was a school night.
We missed a few things - like this motorcycle and Z had a classmate that went and said we missed someone being shot out of a cannon!  :)  But thank you Shriners and Gilda's Club for the free tickets!

February Snow Week

We had Monday already scheduled off - good thing since it started to snow and kept coming and coming and coming.  Aunt Gen was scheduled to fly out in the afternoon - but changed her flight so we didn't have to travel up to the airport.  (which was good, since her flight was cancelled.)   We didn't go anywhere - but the animals next door had to be fed so D went out with B.

Later when it stopped snowing, the kids went out to play and D shoveled the driveway.   That took awhile since it was so deep!

TUESDAY:  cancelled school
I hadn't heard it was going to snow till Sunday - so I didn't stock up - so I had to go buy some milk.  Plus my dough connection called.    :)  Kids were happy to watch a show with dad!

While I was out - I picked up one of Z's and B's friend to come play outside for a couple hours.
So Ak had me call a girl around the corner - I went and picked her up since their cars were snowed in
She was able to stay till dark!
 WEDNESDAY:
It's nice when they cancel school that Dad gets to be home too!  Game time!

Cold temperatures keeping the snow on the ground!  I'm glad D was able to shovel our driveway Monday and now the sun out has dried it.

Invited the neighbor girl over to play some!
Notice the frozen looking pond in the background.
Went and picked up two girls from around the corner to come play some!

Aunt Gen was snowed in with us so Gma and Gpa came over for some games.
We made some snow cream and added strawberries.  (I made it with almond milk so I could eat it!)

THURSDAY:
The cold temps continue.  We talked to our neighbor in Florida. He said it's a good time for them  to be gone and not so much for us since we agreed to take care of his animals.   The other day Bailey had to tell him she found a dead lamb and that one of the sheep was missing.

We had some friends ask if they could come over and go sledding.  There were so many of them I felt I didn't need to go out to insure a good time.  So I just took pictures from my window.  :)  No awesome close-ups sorry.  :)

Do you see how deep this stuff is?  Not normal for here!   Especially for it to stick around more than a day!  Usually the temperatures rise the day after a snow fall.  It's beautiful to me that the snow hasn't left!

Our neighbors pond froze over!  So we went walking out on it with the kids!

This is one of three spots D has been going out daily to break up ice to make sure that the animals have water.   It's a lot of effort!

 FRIDAY:

Brunch!!!

Uncle Victor stopped by on his way through town since Aunt Gen was still in town!

Had a few friends over!

Got to walk on the frozen pond!

Found the missing dead sheep and dead baby lamb under where a hay bale had been.  :(

This is Sunday - you can tell it's warming up a bit . . .  (coming back from feeding the animals.)  So the roads cleared enough to go back to school.
Why they started playing this on Sunday when we had had all week . . . it had to be finished after school. :)
