Piano Recital

We got to join in a recital at our friend's house.

After the recital numbers, before refreshments, all the children got an instrument and helped sing "the 12 instruments of Christmas".   It was fun to see them enjoy the repetition and doing their part.

 With their teacher, Grandma!  :)

Christmas Evening

We drove to D's  moms house for Christmas Dinner!
Then it was present time again!

Then we walked through their Lights in the Park.
 with Uncle Matt!
 Fun to pose!

Then we went downtown Owensboro to their Riverfront Park.   It was REALLY nice!

They had this big metal spinning pole . . .. Z's dad and uncle kept spinning and and spinning him.   Craziness!

Walked around and saw some fountains.   Beautiful night!

Christmas Morning

Our kids let us sleep in . . . . glorious!
I made cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole for then all the fun and craziness of opening presents began!
They seemed happy with their gifts!  Sometimes they couldn't even stop looking at them for a picture.   :)

My favorite gift had to be the picture with the story that B wrote about our family!  :)

Busy December Miscellaneous

Our month started out by putting up and decorating our tree on Uncle Ben's birthday in remembrance of him!!!

Ak sang in the school holiday show:  "Christmas 1776"

Her music teacher is pretty awesome.

Cub scouts and activity girls went Caroling at a near by nursing home.  Ak got invited since it was the week she was turning 8!  They passed out ornaments and snowman that they made after they sang!

B graduated from her school's D.A.R.E program!  (Drug Abuse Resistance Education)

We were able to have dinner with my brother who was in town and share our sibling gifts!

Fun and games with visitors!

B ran for BETA club Treasurer - this is her practicing her speech.  Ak had to plan a birthday party with a budget for her Math class.  :)

And of course there is always random fun . .  projects . . . and dress up!!!
