Kindergarten Graduation

He did it!

B's teacher let her out of class to come watch with us! And listen to them sing all their fun songs. (that she learned last year)

Z with his class's assistant behind him and his teacher next to him - she got engaged at the end of the year. The guy came to Z's class and proposed in front of the students (they didn't quite understand - some thought she was getting married right there right then.)

FUN to be "done"!!!

Down Under Fieldtrip

Z's class went on a fieldtrip and since I had never been to this place - I was glad to go along!This peacock greeted us as we arrived - then hung out around the lunch pavillion - it was if his job describtion said, "hang out around the people where ever they go"
These birds loved Z's friend's hat.

Z didn't complain that the birds wouldn't land on him.

After they drank from Z's cup - they took the cup from him - Z thought that was funny!!!

He got to pet an emu.

And a kangeroo.

Then we got to go in a cave.

He got a little freaked out in the middle - I had forgotten about that possibility.

But after a short path where I had to carry him - he calmed down.

We made it through!

Heard a Laughing Kookaburra Bird - that was a first - I took a video!!! It does laugh and now the children's song makes more sense to me! I had no clue there was such a real bird!

Saw some other birds including a couple Cockatoo's and then some sheep. (: It was a fun fieldtrip with nice weather! No rain and not too hot!!!

B's Dance Recital

Exciting weekend! Dress Rehersal Night - her friend's mom did her make up and I only took pictures at the end of her 2 dance numbers while they were posing since I took a video during the dancing. It was a Disney Movie Theme - her class got the movie "Mulan". She did a great job! When D saw the next couple pictures - he was like, "do we have a 17 year old now?!"Next day was the Recital!!! I got to take pictures during her two dance numbers since video tape recording was not allowed. First Ballet to "The Shadow Song" . . .Then Tap . . . "I'm going to make a man out of you." Z was singing along while B was dancing! Loud. Then Ak was singing "Let's go fly a kite" during another class's number - it was nice to see them so enjoying themsleves with the music - although I must admit I had to tell them to not be so loud! I took a picture of Ak . . . but it's fuzzy. (: Here are all the classes afterwards - they came out for recognition. B is in the 2nd row, 2nd from the left. (:She got a medal and flower (I wasn't expecting that). I did her make up today. (:

So we had stopped by and bought her flowers - I remember hearing that people did that and I didn't want her to be left out. (: They were selling some in the lobby for family to buy - but I was glad I had gotten ours before then. (: B was surprised to get more flowers - but she liked them. Ak was happy to give them to her. Here she is with a classmate - yes B is the tallest in her class. (:

Spelling Bee and Party

B was in spelling bee at school . . . we had a list to study . . . but we didn't take a lot of time to study - so I was worried about how she would do - but she wasn't the first to sit down, so I was happy!!! She had to sit down after 10 kids - so she made it 1/2 way through her class. (: I was proud of her for saying the word - spelling it- and saying the word. (following the directions) Good experience.Ak and I went to the spelling bee and stayed for the party afterwards. (:
Later that afternoon - Ak was invited to a dress up birthday party - she wasn't happy with any of her choices . . . so I pulled out this "dress" that my my mom gave me in Taiwan - she liked that, so away we went! (: (It's really a woman's tank top - but we wouldn't wear it and so it makes a perfect dress!)

This day was busy - B-U-S-Y!!!! I had 4 other moms help me do what I needed to do this afternoon - to get my kids where they all needed to be . . . ME plus 4 - to do my job!?!?! It was CRAZY - but it all worked out and I'm glad I have good ladies in my life that I can call on when I need help!!! (B needed make up on (1) then a ride to dress rehearsal (2) Z needed to go somewhere to play during all this (3) and Ak needed to hang out till dress rehersal was done (4) Thank you ladies!!!!)

Soccer! Mid-season

His team, the Bulldogs. He made a goal! I can't seem to get a picture of him scoring, just smiling afterwards.
He's enjoying it!

Ak's Dance Recital

Here's our 4 year old pretty in pink . . .
She is 3rd from the right - following Ms. Victoria, their teacher.

I had told her in the car on the way - if something happens (like if you mess up or forget something - I told her to keep going -it's okay.) Well - her hair thing fell out and she keep going!!! (: I was glad!!! They were in a circle dance and she didn't break hands to pick it up - she let a teacher kick it to the side and then later the owner helped her put it back in!) (:

She enjoyed smiling at our camera!

She was happy afterwards to receive a metal and flower!

They had a small reception for the participants and guests.

You did a great job Ak! We love you!
