Park City Extreme Tournament/Family Vacation

When the tournament schedule came out and it said Park City Terry and I decided we would make it our summer vacation.  So we decided instead of a hotel we would get a condo and have all the girls come up for the weekend.  We headed up Thur morning so we would have time to get some lunch, shop for our groceries, get the condo set up, and Terry to check the team in before Jantzyn's game at 6:45.  Jadyn and Jake drove their truck (with the team canopy) and the two girls rode up with us.  We got lunch at Jimmy Johns/Subway and ran to Smith's to shop.  The condo was so cute and had plenty of room for everyone.  We got unpacked and then headed to Jantzyn's game at the Complex (where they had the ice skating venues for the Olympics).  The girls played amazing and Jantzyn scored their goal.  It ended in a 1-1 tie.  Montana put the girls in the 02 (2 years older than our girls) Platinum division and we all thought she was crazy but she has so much faith in these girls and they played just as well as these 17 year old girls.  After the game we headed back to the condo stopping to get Papa Murphys pizza for dinner.  After dinner Terry and I walked down to the 7-eleven and got a drink.  It was the perfect weather.  Then everyone headed to bed about 11 since Jantzyn had a game at 9:45 the next morning.
We got up and had yogurt parfaits and hot cereal/cereal (Jantz has to eat healthy during her tournaments) and then headed to her first game.  They played another hard team losing 0-2 but it was a lot closer game then the score shows.  We had lots of opportunities they just wouldn't go in.  But the girls played so well again.  In between games we came back and ate lunch and headed to the pool to cool off for a little bit and then napped before the girls second game.  Jor had driven up fri morning and said she had never been to one of Jantzyn's games.  I had never realized it but she was right.  So it was fun to introduce her to all the parents. This team we played was from Layton and were huge girls.  They must of thought they were going to kill us because when we scored our first goal they all of sudden panicked and just started fouling our girls hard and on purpose.  Our whole side line was getting so mad at the ref but the game was so much fun.  Jorrin loved it and got into it as much as we did.  Learning most of the girls names quickly.  We ended up winning the game 2-1 (Jantzyn scored another great goal).  Which put us in the semi finals the next morning.  We came home and took another night swim went back to the condo and Jor waxed the girls and then we all went to bed.
Saturday morning we got up packed up and headed to the semi final game.  When we got there the boys teams playing on the field went in to 2 overtimes and a shoot out that went through the line 3 times (10 players) before the team on our side won.  By the end our whole team and our parents were all cheering for them.  Jor was really into that game.  It was funny.  For the semi finals we played a team from Colorado that was very good.  They won 2-0 but again our girls hung with them and played amazing.  We found out also that we earned more points and a higher ranking from just getting in the semi's in the platinum division then if we would have won the gold.  Montana knows what she is doing.  This was Montana last game as coach and we all cried after it was over.  I can't tell you how much Jantzyn and our whole family love her (and her husband Dave).  She has been amazing for Jantzyn and she/we will always have a special place for her in our hearts.  She even invited us to stay with her next tournament in Salt Lake.  We're all better for knowing her and wish every coach could be like her.  We are excited for their new coach Kelsey and know she will be awesome too.
After everyone lingered around and just talked and enjoyed being together (also they planned a party..haha) We headed to get Panda (jantzyn had been dying for something unhealthy) to get lunch.  Where we ended up seeing Montana and Dave.  And then over to the outlets.  We did a little shopping and then headed to the Olympic Park.  We got to watch the ski jumpers training doing jumps into the water.  It was soo cool.  Then we went to do the slide but it was closed.  So that is on our bucket list for next year.  After a couple hours there we headed to Provo to do a little more shopping and then headed home.  It was such a fun way to finish off summer.  I can't wait to do it again next year.

the view on our walk to 7-eleven.
Teegan's team was playing on the same field the game before us so we got there early and watched his game and then they stayed and watched Jantzyn's game before they headed to their next game.
