day 5- Our Final Day at the Merriest Place on Earth

We all couldn't believe how fast our time had gone.  We decided to save our Magic morning (early hour) for our last day.  We got up early and opened our last gifts under the tree.  Today all the girls received a Disney necklace and the boys got Star Wars socks.  Jay's- was a rose from Beauty and the Beast, Jor-Mickey necklace, Jaice-Ohana flower from Lilo and Stitch, Jantz-Mickey and Minnie, Gma -Mickey and Me a hooked Mickey and Minnie.  They all loved them and were very thankful for all the fun presents. It was fun watching them all week looking at things they wanted for souvenirs and knowing that each day they would be opening the things they were looking at so they could use their gift cards on other things they were wanting.

Instead of Walt's lamp there was a Christmas tree in his apt window. So cool!
Main street was empty so Jantz got to sit on the porch!
Before we left for our trip Terry was determined to meet some of the vloggers we follow. They are there every Saturday so we knew to keep an eye out. They call their follow/subscribers muffins so we found a cute Santa Muffin they had on their blog and made button's for us to wear incase we saw them.  That morning Terry and some of the kids went to get on rides while Jor and I were trying to find a spirit jersey she had fallen in love with but was sold out all over the park.  When we finally found it (one of 3 xxl's left) I called Terry to bring her gift card to us.  He had given us the card and decided to wait out front on Main Street just to people watch.  We had just gotten done buying the item and went to sit on a bench to meet up with everyone when he called me and just said "Get over here quick."  I could barely get out of him where and  then he said "they're here", as soon as he said that it clicked who he was talking about.  I told my mom and dad I'd be right back and ran across the street.   It was weird to think the people we had been watching with the family for 6 months were right in front of us.  Some other people had already recognized them and were getting pictures with them.  As soon as they were done.  I went up to Sarah and showed her our pins and told her we were big fans of their show.  She loved the buttons, we talked for a minute and then had Jor take a picture of Terry and I with them.  Terry had so many questions he had wanted to ask them but he was so star struck he didn't say a word.  HAHA.  As soon as we were done getting our picture Terry ran to find the kids to show them.  Jaice and Jantz knew right who they were in the picture and were so sad they didn't get to see them that Terry set off with the two girls to find them.  They hadn't gotten very far and were in front of the castle so Terry told them about the girls and they were so nice they took the time to get their picture with them too!  Needless to say that made Terry's trip and he was so happy he said now he could just be happy enjoying the rest of the day.  They were so cool and they even let us do a shout out that aired on their channel.  We were so excited to see ourselves!

One of the stills I took of Terry walking on their vlog.

A couple of the rides the kids went on while me, Jor, and my parents were shopping.

They had gone on Star Tours and on the new ride at the end they show someone from the ride audience that was the Rebel Spy...guess who it was that ride..HAHA!

she makes a good spy.

Jor was happy to get to ride on Jingles

We decided to ride the Carousel and it was so fun to see the Pearly band get on with us and play "Lets go fly a kite" while we rode.  Everyone (especially Terry) sang along and just soaked up another magical Disney moment.
Another favorite picture of my girls being in the magic.

Our new tradition of getting Dole Whips and watching Tiki Room show.

Terry and Jantz in Tarzan's tree house

The t-shirt Jake got on Day 3.  He got so many compliments on it and had to get a picture with pooh aka Winnie the pew.

We headed back to the hotel for lunch and of course there were more birds waiting for me in the parking lot.  Thank goodness Jantz took care of them for me. Haha

eating lunch in mom and dads room and then resting for a quick minute before heading back.

Walking through Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Jaice taking a break and eating some of our snacks.

We spent a little more time in Toon Town this night.  Riding the rides and checking out all the cute Christmas decor on the Toons houses.

We headed back over to the castle to get our family pictures tonight.

We rode a couple more rides then headed to our final surprise restaurant.  Terry and I had eaten at Rancho Del Zocalo on our anniversary trip and loved it.  It was a big hit with the kids too.  Everyone loved their dinner.  Jake said it was the best Chili Verde he had ever had and then he tried my burrito and said that it was even better then his dinner.  Terry was excited to get his cheese enchiladas, Jantz had tacos and Jor and Jaice had taco salad.  Jadyn tried their ceasar salad and said even though it was good she should of gone with her gut and gotten the taco salad too.  Next time Jay!! It was fun surprising the kids with where we were going to eat each day.  We have never eaten in the park before so they loved getting to eat in (or close to) the park each day.  Also part of their Christmas experience!

After dinner we rode a couple more rides, finished all our shopping, than watched the late show of Fantasmic.  Again this will always be a favorite.  I think this is Terry's favorite show.  He even said he would pay the $95 to have dinner and get special seating next time. My parents loved it!!  After the show it was late and my parents wanted to ride Peter Pan so we headed there.  After they decided to head back to the hotel but not before my mom found another shop to buy one final souvenir.  I know they loved this trip and 'Im so glad I will have the memories of them coming with us.

In every land we went to for the last time, you could find Jantzyn hugging things and saying goodbye.  She was so not ready to go.

making our way down Main Street (slowly) taking every little bit in before we did our last tradition.  Another one of my favorites...
so pretty!

our last look down Main Street and Christmastime at Disneyland.
...riding the train around the park one last time.

On our way out we realized we never got a picture in the entry way.  A nice man saw us trying to figure out who was going to take the picture and took it for us!!

When I told my bosses about my vacation days, I remember Dr. Jeff saying "that is going to be your Christmas, you're not going to have any presents under the tree on Christmas Day?".  I thought wow I really hope this works out like I keep seeing it in my head.  And it did!  It is so true, memories and doing things as a family is SOOO much better than getting stuff.  It is a Christmas we all will cherish the rest of our lives and I don't think any of the girls would change one thing about their Christmas this year.  In fact, were all ready to go again!!
