Work trip or as some would say work party

A couple months ago in our team meeting the Doctors told us they wanted us to go on a work trip together.  They have heard and seen that Disneyland customer service is excpetional and wanted us to see it for ourselves.  They made sure everyone would be ok leaving their families for a couple of days and that they would drive us down.  So on the early morning at 5:30 am wed.Sept 16th we headed down to Newport.  Our rooms weren't ready yet so we headed to a mall, ate and shopped for a little while.  We checked into our rooms and then headed down town to get ride our bikes along the beach.  It was so much fun.  These were no ordinary bikes, they were mortorized so you could either pedal or hold a gauge and just go.  They then took us to dinner at a little mexican restuarant and we relaxed and went to bed around 11 to be ready for the big day.  On thur. we got up and headed to Disneyland to be there when they opened.  We stayed until the close and even shopped for an hour after with patient Dr. Brad waiting for us to drive us back to the hotel.  On fri we got up and were out of there by 6:00.  We made it back to St. George around 1:30 with awesome memories.

Everyone was so "Happy" to be together on this trip

On our way to our adventure.  Our bus "the geriatric bus" consisted of: Michelle, Amanda, Katie, Rachel, Me, Carroll, Shauna, Alicia, and Chelsey.

stopping for gas and to eat our yummy bagels and yogurt for breakfast.

Our longest wait was Peter Pan.  But we had fun in line and on the 3 minute ride.

The last ride I went on was Splash Mt and it was so fun even though we all got soaked.

The other's last ride,

Starting new family traditions

Terry had been wanting to go camping all summer but we were too busy and it was too hot.  So we decided since we weren't going to Delta any more that we would go camping in Pine Valley over Labor Day weekend.  We were even able to have all the girls with us.  I was a little apprehensive about it since it's been a long time since I have gone camping and slept in a tent and done all the preparation that comes along with camping but we pulled it off and everyone had so much fun that they all want to do it again next year.  I guess we have a new Labor day weekend tradition.

nice team work!

we had lots of  yummy food:  sat night we had, navajo tacos and scones with honey butter.    Then on Sunday Terry made yummy dutch oven chicken and potatoes, and even a peach cobbler for dessert.

We had fun felaxing and enjoying each others company.

my favorite picture of the whole weekend!!!

Jantzyn even found a cute Caterpillar friend.

We took a walk around the reservoir.

And worked on halloween craft

we played an intense game of phase 10...

And had 2 fun nights playing "would you rather" and just laughing around the campfire.

we also made smores.

I love this family of mine more than anything and I know they don't understand it now, but someday they will realize how special and rare these times together are.  I am so grateful for little get aways like these.
