Annual Concert Trip

We have made it a tradition to go to a concert together each year..  This year it was Def Leppard and Kiss' turn.
Last summer Def Leppard did a month of shows in Las Vegas. Terry really wanted to go but since we had just seen Bon Jovi (again) we couldn't afford to go.  We decided next time they came around we would for sure.  When we heard they were coming with Kiss we were a little leary but decided to give it a shot.

We had never been to the USANA amphitheater before.  It was a fun place to see a show.  We had general admission seats on the grass so we got there early to get as close as we could. Then for the next hour and a half we walked around and sat on the blanket watching all of the people.  This was probably Sheri's favorite part.  There were a lot of people with their faces painted, even some little kids. One guy was having everyone ask if they could get their picture taken with him.  Some people behind us were completely wasted and couldn't keep their hands off each other, rolling around on the ground quite often. Some people watched them more than the concert.

When Def Leppard came out we were not disappointed.  They sounded great, played all of the songs we like and were fun to watch.

When it was time for Kiss we thought since we had come for Def Leppard if we didnt like them we would just leave. Their show was full of fireworks, fire, and flying above the crowd on wires.  I told Sheri to just pretend she was at World Of Color but with different music. She didn't know alot of the songs but said it was entertaining to watch them. We ended up staying for the whole thing.  After we wondered why they had such a reputation for being evil. They were just like any other band but decided to try something to make them stand out so put on makeup and strange costumes.

It was a fun, quick getaway and we are glad we went.  We decided we would defiantly see Def Leppard again if we get the chance.  As for Kiss, Sheri said she is good with the one time, but I would probably see them again too.
