Annual Delta Reunion

This year none of my girls could wait for the Delta reunion, although not for all the same reasons.

Jadyn couldn't wait to see Jake (after being away from him for 3 weeks)
the others couldn't wait to see their cousins and do all of our traditions we do every year.
This year the weather put a damper on all our traditions.  Right after we got to the park for lunch
it started pouring so we knew the Hard Pan (my girls favorite part of Delta) was off.
We ended up spending most of our time at the park this year, but the kids ended up make some new traditions from it.

The older kids (some way older than others...Terry and Brandon) had a football game.

and some of the other Adults and Jor sat through the yearly auction.
the younger kids enjoyed every second of being able to do as they please all day long.

Brandon insisting he was the one and only winner of the football game.

The kids were able to swim a lot this time also since we didn't have the time crunch for the hard pan.

The second time at the park on Sat.
One of the new traditions started "The Shirtless Warriors"  emerging from the black of night to scare us all.
Yes that is Terry he couldn't let a tradition start without him.
The girls trying to get involved since they really can't join the shirtless warriors.
Sunday we tried to stick to tradition ...

but right after we got done puttting pennies on the tracks, Terry's sister's family tried and got told from the Railroad Union people that it's against the law to put pennies on the tracks now.

luckily we were able to go back and find our pennies one last time.
We also drove out to Terry's Dad's old house and farm.

One last "new thing" this year was we had family pictures in Delta.

We were able to "country it up" we had them in a hay field, on a train, and some tractors.  I can't wait to see them, i bet they will be so cute.

Hopefully next year we will be able to get back to some of our old traditions while keeping some of the new ones we started this year.

Jorrin's First Football Half Time Performance

This year Snow Canyon is trying something new, they are calling it Fan Fest and it's a mini tailgate party before each game.  Different clubs have booths, they have food you can buy, games and face painting for the kids (and adults too if you want), and entertainment, the Eshelles perform 30 second routines to get the crowd pumped up.  I went and helped with the Eshelle booth and it was a lot of fun.  I hope it catches on my kids have loved going each time.

Jadyn's First Away Game

This year SC's first away game was at Canyon View in Cedar.  For some reason the girls have siked themselves out about being able to play on grass.  They won but only 3-2 and it was a hard fought game even though canyon view isn't that good.  Jadyn ended up getting 2 yellow cards (don't even get me started on this years reffing) and had to sit the last 10 mins out of the game and had to miss their next game which was one they definitely needed her for, it was against Cedar in Cedar the warriors ended up losing that game 1-0.  But they have come back and are now in first place in the region.  The girls have their last game of the first half of the season tonight against Hurricane and then they start the lineup again. Hopefully they can continue to play tough (against both the teams and unfortanantly against the refs) and win region.

At the Cedar games they have varsity play first and then JV so after the varsity game Jadyn and some of her teammates worked on their AP stats homework.
Jor loves watching Jay's games (really she knew we were going to eat after).

Eating at DQ after the game with the rest of the fam that came to watch Jadyn and Calli play.
