US Vs Canda Women's Soccer game

The Game!!
It was the funnest ever!!!!!!
I loved every minute of this game.  I think it was funner then going to BYU football games (and I love those).  The crowd was so in to it.  They would chant "USA, USA" and boo the refs together when there was a bad call.  You could feel the love for the United States during the National Anthem and throughout the whole game.  I remember last year watching this team play in the Cup games and I fell in love with them.  This was so neat to me to see them in person and watch the game so close to them.  I have always gone to Bon Jovi Concerts and watched Terry turn in to a little excited boy watching them but never fully feeling it.  Watching this game I felt that feeling and loved it. (It was fun watching Sheri turn into an excited little girl.  She was VERY into the game.  Cheering excitedly, booing loudly and just totally enjoying being there) My only complaint was it wasn't long enough and went by way too fast.   I hope sometime we will get to watch them live again but I will always remember this game and how much fun it was.  I am glad I got to share it with Terry, Jaice and Jadyn. I know they loved it too.

Rapinoe was the funnest to watch and became everyones favorite player.
Everyone commented on how far out of the box Hope Solo plays.  She was so intense and was directing everyone else the whole game.

Celebrating the winning goal doing "grass angels" in reference to the last time they played in SLC in a snowstorm.

Jaicelyn is 12!

This year Jaicelyn was turning the big 12 right during our ward YW's camp so they told her she could go, she was very excited, but even more excited to go with her big sisters.  She became a little less excited when she found out neither one of them would be going but she still wanted to go.  So on Wed June 27 Terry dropped her off at our church at 7:15 am.  I was a little worried, I was able to go to girls camp with the older two their first year and i know how she doesn't sleep very well away from home.  So when Terry said he was able to get 3 free tickets to the US vs Canada women's soccer game in SLC, but we would have to pick up Jaice fri night from girls camp, I knew it was an answer to my prayers (come to find out a answer to Jaice's too).  Fri night we dropped Jorrin and Jantzyn off and friends and g-mas (Jadyn was already up north at her UVU soccer camp), and headed up to Cedar Mt to pick up Jaice.  We got there around 7:30 and they were just finishing up their spiritual meeting with the stake so we checked out the camp and waited a few minutes in the van.  When we saw the girls we got out and started walking to the camp.  Jaicelyn saw us and yelled "Mom and Dad what are you doing here!" she was so excited to see us.  I told her we had a surprise for her but she would have to leave camp and come to Lehi with us right then.  I have never seen her move so fast, she grabbed her stuff as fast as she could, said a quick good-bye to the leaders, and almost ran to the van.  She said she had a lot of fun at camp but hated the nights.  She is always the last one awake and hates that feeling, also she got really cold both nights.  She said she was so glad to see u,s that she had be dreading having to sleep there one more night.  After we started down the mountain we gave her a gift bag with a little soccer ball and in the soccer ball it had a note that said.  "Happy B-day from the US women's soccer team".  She had been wanting to go to that game and knew exactly what it meant and was so excited.  We got to Austin and Marianne's house about 11:45, after she showered we visited for a little while and went to bed.  She didn't even want to sleep on the couch she wanted to be in the room with Terry and I.  I think she slept better on the floor then she had the two previous nights.  Sat morning we got up, opened one more present that had a new outfit for her to wear to the game, ate breakfast and headed back to Orem to pick up Jadyn and some of her teammates from their camp.  Then we headed to Rio Tinto for the big game.  We got there about an hour early, and walked around and just took it all in.  They were selling US women's team shirts so for Jaicelyn's b-day she picked which player she wanted, she picked Hope Solo's number 1 jersey and we also got a USA logo necklace.  Then we just enjoyed watching the team warm up and then the game started.  It was so fun and she loved every minute of the game (well except for a couple minutes when she was really hot).  After the game we stopped at our favorite place JCW's for a cheesburger and fries and headed home. After we all showered I made some strawberry cupcakes and we opened her presents and sang happy B-day.  I think she loved her surprise 12th B-day and it's one she will never forget.

A couple of other things she got for her b-day were makeup, goggles, sandals, more clothes, a journal, and a camera.

Jadyn's UVU camp

The week of June 26-30 Jadyn went to the UVU team soccer camp with the varsity players.  She was still healing from her injury so she didn't get to play in any games but she did get to do team training.  She loved being able to at least be on the soccer field touching the ball again.  And as always the girls have a lot of fun together.
