Jem bought a new baby last sat.. Caught me totally by surprise as I thot he was only going to check out the market price of a new fazer. He had been wanting to upgrade to a bigger bike ever since he had gotten his class 2 license almost 2 yrs back.. The twist was.. he ended up buying a blackbird instead of a fazer (moral of the story: women arent the only fickle minded ones ard k??)

I was so very excited abt the new bike too. But since I had to work that sat, he picked me up after work to view his new baby at the bike shop, still waiting to be cleaned and polished.. :)

Da Dang!

1100cc Honda black bird with me on the driver's seat! Cool!

Jem decided that he wants to try out his new 'fish and chips' recipe tonight. since he has already prepared everything and doesnt need me to help out, I shall gladly be his official photographer and guinea pig for the day.

He came to pick me up at 1 plus.. Luckily i still had some 'leftover' konnyaku jelly that i made yesterday for desserts later.. we popped down to compass point for my favourite, once-a-week, teh-siudai by THE UNCLE at Yakun.

The teh really completes my day!

After that we decided to check out the progress of our punggol flat. so glad that they are finally working on it.. we are one step closer to our dream home..
cant see much now.. but at least it's sthg..

Finally finally.. we went back home to prepare for dinner. the sky is overcast by now and it's gg to rain any time.. Frankly speaking, the fish is not too bad for a first try.. Jia You.. I'm sure it will be even tastier on your second try!

Havent had the time to post my S. Korea trip unti now.

It was a week long trip visiting some of the more popular touristy places in Korean, and yes.. not to forget the main reason behind this trip - snow and skiing.

Some of the places we went to include Seoul, Everland and Lotte themeparks (which were surprising more fun and interesting than i expected), Yong Pyong Ski Resort (where the famous 'Winter Sonata' was filmed), Jeju Island (the no. 1 honeymoon location in S. Korea), etc.

The pictures speaks louder than words.

Enjoy!

Yong Pyong Ski Resort

u may not believe it.. but i'm at the Dragon Peak.. which is the highest peak in Yong Pyong Ski resort. the temp is -8C, and the wind is so strong and bittering cold!

Scenic Moments at Mt Sorak National Park

Also known as Seoraksan National Park. We had to take a cable and walked the rest of the way up the peak. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful!

Dried up river in the background..

Beautiful Jeju

济州岛有三多:风多,马多和女人多。因为四面环海,海产丰富,男人多数都以捕鱼为生。很多时候,一去不归。女人就得自力更生,养家糊口。

There are a few must-see places in Jeju, namely the 'mysterious road', Sunrise Peak, teddy bear museum and the sea-women divers, aka “海女”。

I'm standing on the Sunrise Peak. This is actually an extinct volcanic crater.

Women divers at work.

Taken with 'Gong' teddy bears at the teddy bear museum.

The famous windmill in 'All in'.

Canola flowers field with Sunrise Peak in the background.

bIrthDay.. continue..

After spending a good part of the afternoon at the Mint Museum, we continued our trip down to Au Petit Salut for dinner..

Had a little hiccup in the early afternoon. When i called up the restuarant to confirm my reservation, they told me that they cant find my name in the system and the indoor tables are all reserved! WTH! how am i gg to find another restuarant at this time! Luckily for us that the lady was helpful enough to arrange an indoor table for us. Thank goodness..

Anyway, since we both are so sua gu that we dunno where the restuarant is located at (Harding road?????), we took a cab thinking that the cabbie would know (since dar refused to ride on his bd) Turnws out the cabbie also dunno where is it. This is so funny.. but no worries.. nowadays cabs are so advanced that they act have GPS in their cab that tells us harding road is at Changi when it's actually near botanicals garden.. (-_-") in the end, dar used the cabbie's street directory to help him find.. cant go wrong with the traditional method..

Day 2

Breakfast was provided in the hotel restaurant "KOPI-O". *yummy!* hee.. we decided to eat-till-we-drop so we can save up one meal..

The omelette is so nice!! I still can't forget the taste!

View outside the breakfast window

ATV stands for All Terrain Vehicle, equivalent to a 4-wheel motor bike. Never heard of it before and since Jem was so enthu abt it so i went along with it too.. This was my first time driving a vehicle! So scary! But Jem was so proud of me after the ride. I actually did it – go over a bridge, down slopes, up slopes.. I did it with a bruise on my leg and 2 sunburnt thighs as my proud souvenir! Sharing some photos with you..
