First and foremost we go to Disney for the attractions. We ride everything and see everything, and our kids are required to participate. After that... comes the dining. Some dining experiences focus on cuisine and some are more for a show or character presentation. We have some absolute favorites for quick service and table service and also snack choices.Epcot is probably the best place for good food. You can't beat the countries in the World Showcase.
Flame Tree BBQ is the best CS(counter-service) restaurant in AK. Have your kiddos split here to save a lunch credit. They serve pork, ribs, and chicken. It is a great place to get your BBQ fix!
For a snack credit, Kaki Gori is a must for the best snow cones ever! It is located in Japan at World Showcase in Epcot.
My next favorite snack credit is Aloha Isle in Frontierland in MK. You must have a pineapple Dole whip..so tasty. My kids don't care for it much so I don't waste it on them!
O'hana is a Hawaiian flair restaurant at the Polynesian hotel. You better go hungry because they serve family style and have an abundance of meat and yummy side dishes. They also do fun things for the kiddos. Everyone gets a lei and you can do the limbo if you wish. Lilo and Stich come for breakfast, but we prefer dinner. Obviously, you can't split here.
50's Primetime Diner is a fun place set in Donna Reed times. The waiters and waitresses put on a show and they server home style food. Jay ordered tuna casserole and I made fun of him for ordering such a blah entree at Disney. It turned out that is was the best I had ever eaten! He ended up making fun of me because I kept asking for bites! Last year, I got the salmon with dill sauce an it was soooo good!
Our waiter made the kids clean up..they got a kick out of that!
Tangerine Cafe is in Morocco in Epcot. It is the best quick service in the World Showcase in my opinion. They serve Mediterranean food and it is delish!
The California Grille is located at the top of the Contemporary Hotel. It is a signature dining experience so it is worth two credits. They have really good food there. However, I didn't like the sauce on my filet so it was kind of a downer. We went late so we could few the MK fireworks as we dined. It is probably the nicest restuarant at Disney. You can't even go up there unless you have a reservation. We took dessert home because we were full and it was late. The kids got sushi dessert (pictured below). I thought it was really cute.
In my opinion, Le Cellier in England World Showcase is the best restaurant in Disney. We lucked out because it changed to a signature dining experience (2 credits) after our visit. They have the best steaks. If you can't get a reservation just get some beer cheese soup to go. It is delicious and they are known for it.
We got creme brulee and some kind of chocolate cake for dessert. It was divine.
Even if you don't have girls, mark my words. Your boys will want to go to the castle. It is such a architectural masterpiece. I have heard the breakfast is better than lunch and dinners. It is two dining credits, of course.
Crystal Place is located in MK. Magic Kingdom is not know for restaurants so it is probably the best buffet there, and you can see Winnie the Poo.
The Garden Grill is how we kick off each trip. It is the best place to see Mickey, except for Chef Mickeys. The restaurant rotates and has a unique atmosphere. The food is pretty good, but nothing to brag home about! We still love it though....
Epcot is definitely at the top of my list for favorite parks. In October, the food and wine festival is there. You can travel around the world tasting food and spirits from each country and it only costs a couple of bucks!. Jay and I always save our snack credits for there. There are also awesome attractions as well as the best restaurants.
