CHRISTmas Memories O8

This is so I can remember..about Christmas 2008

1. We got to visit all of our families.
2. I got something I have always wanted at dirty Santa at Jay's Aunt Angela's ( a set of miracle blade knives)..I usually leave with something ridiculous
3. I received a pair of peacock pearls from Jay's parents.
4. Jay and I played "Baggo" a game I gave to Jay, until midnight on Christmas Eve.
5. Ava enjoyed walking around "helping" others open presents.
6. Jake and Riggs received bikes for Christmas, among other things.
7. We went to the Peabody and saw the ducks.
8. We went the Flying Fish.
9. We went to Brother Junipers to eat breakfast and the home fries were the best ever.
10. I gave my mother a picture calendar that she loved.
11. Jay and I saw the Benjamin Button movie ( yes I had to take a break from my boycott of Hollywood movie stars) so we could see a movie by ourselves ( it's been about 3 years!)
12. All the boys in the family got marshmallow guns from Mimi and shot them all over Kerry's house.
13. Alexandra gave me a "nose blow!" (Don't ASK!)

MCA and Charlie Daniels

It is a fun day at MCA when we let out for Christmas. All the classes join together and have the best food and oh so yummy coffee. Another fun event is when Charlie Daniels shows up to sing. He always tells the kids to always say 'Merry Christmas" not 'Happy Holidays" ..a man after my own heart. Usually Gretchen Wilson shows up to sing too, but she didn't come this year. I missed her; her voice is smooth like butta! Sorry for the off focus pics; the lighting was funky in there.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Tonight the kiddos wanted to celebrate Jesus's birth by baking a cake. Okay, I thought. It was cute and I explained how we should celebrate it everyday. I guess it was a good way to convey the true meaning of Christmas to a young-un.
