New Theme for my class at School.

As you can tell, I'm making up for weeks of no posting. I have been working on pictures and scanning today. I love this pic and think I'm going to use it as my class them some way. Any comments on the "how to's" would be appreciated.

Slade's First Flying Lesson

Cheryl gave me a flying lesson one year for Christmas. We flew over Blue Creek and Tallahassee. Everything was so small from the sky. I could barely make out our house. PS. It's the one at the end of the wing to the right.

Dads will do anything for their Daughters

New Job Assignment for Dad

My new teaching assignment this year is the Technology Teacher for Hosford School. The school is under construction for a new 15 million dollar two story K-5 building. The old section will be preserved via a Historical grant once the new sections are up and running next August 2009. I'm teaching three middle school classes as well as 6th grade Math remediation. Cheryl has done all her paper work to start subbing for Hosford School. Tutoring will start in mid-September. So far it's been a blast!

Back to School

One sure sign of summer ending is Open House at School. Here the girls pose in the Prince/Princess Reading Chair. The chair is from Ms. Judith Peddie's third grade class. The girls had Ms. Judith as a Primary teacher so they wanted to see her new class. This is her first year teaching and we are lucking to have her in Hosford. I'm sure I'll have to remind the girls they are in 1st grade, not 3rd all year long.

Garden Box

One of our family goals was to have a garden. Our High Priest group made these garden boxes for anyone who wanted one. At the end of June we had a Harvest Dinner and invited those who received a box to come out. We had so many non-members join us, it was the best Ward dinner in our Ward History. We are still planting late summer vegetables now. Going green has never been so easy!

Summer Highlights!

One of the first summer activities that the girls went to was horse camp. Uncle Trammell Black has a horse camp every summer at Edgewood Farms. www.blackponies.com
