So Far, So Good

As a parent, it is understood that we now have certain responsibilities.  But what are they?
Who's to say if you are or are not reaching those requirements?

All I know is that we were not given any books, manuals, or guide lines to follow with any of our boys.  It was a total trial by error and the error's, sadly, seem to keep coming.
We brought them into this world with open arms and a heart full of unconditional love.

We taught them how to walk and let them run in the rain...
we encourage and support their unique habits and laugh at their silliness...
we love, comfort and console them when they are in need...

we do our best to teach them... hoping that they will become honorable men... standing by their side and sometimes needing to support from afar...hoping that they know we are there to ask questions to and praying that they always feel our love...even when it pains us to see them grow up...and at times, fall down...

we are their biggest cheerleader, defender, and advocate...we love the good, bad and even the occasional ugly...we see what other seem to sometimes miss...at times we advise, explain, instruct, guide and prepare them...we simply LOVE &  ADORE them...

our boys are each others biggest fans...they are best friends...they are always there for each another...they do their best to lead by example, not only for each other but for us as parent's too...

We may not have gotten a any books, manuals, or guide lines to follow...and I certainly do not profess to know it all (or even close to all)...but what I do know is that the Lord has given us four precious gift...gifts that we hope to one day return back to Him.

I find my self constantly thanking my Father in heaven for my life and the countless blessings he has placed in it.

There are no two days alike, there are no two Eliason's alike.  But the unconditional love and never ending support we have for one another is really...something else!!
