Post Thanksgiving/Christmas Crafts

Friday afternoon the girls and I went to my mom's house. My mom had some craft projects for the kids to work on. The kid's made some glass ball ornaments, beaded icicle ornaments and wreath ornaments.

Each year my mom comes up with a craft for the kids to make and give to their classmates. This year the kids made Magic Sleep for their classmates. We made an assembly line on the living room floor and everyone had a job to do. Ashlee did the bags. Landon put in the marshmallows. Mikayla put in the candy cane. Dylan put in the chocolate bell. Hailee put in the little poem and my mom and I tied the bags.

While dinner was being made the kids went outside and played some soccer. Once dinner was made and Grandpa Billy and Kay arrived we ate. We had Mexican food with all the fixins.

Thanksgiving

Gobble, Gobble. The girls and I made these cute and easy turkey cookies Thanksgiving morning.
For Thanksgiving we went to Teresa and Danny's home. These cute little ships were the place settings for the kids table.

The adult table was beautifuly decorated too.

Some family pictures before the feast.

Every year Danny and Teresa have a little competitive activity. The winner receives a $50 gift card. This year the activity was potato launching. The winner was Sam.

It was great day. We are Thankful for our family and for all the blessings we have in our lives.

Primary Program

Today our ward had their Primary Program. Here are some pictures of the girls before leaving for church this morning.
This week has been a week we don't care to repeat. For the second time we have attempted to get the girls their flu shots, but each time one of them for some reason or another becomes ill and so we can't get it done. I guess we just need to have them get them one at a time.
Ashlee has been battling sinus issues and developed some sort of a rash. A rash the doctor suspected to be hives. Hives to what we don't know. The doctor suggested we do an allergy test on her. I am not so sure that will solve anything. We know she battles allergy issues and it's something we have just gotten use to. I think it comes with living where we live.
Mikayla has had a horrible stomach ache all week. To the point she is hunched over in tears. After the third day I took her to the doctor. By then she was dehydrated, but they couldn't really figure out what was going on so they ordered some tests. As of yesterday we finally were able to complete all the tests, but now we have to wait 3-5 days to get the results. There is a possibility of e-coli or salmonella. She ate some raw cookie dough and turkey that none of the rest of us ate. Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done if it is, but let it run it's course. Luckily, as of Saturday afternoon she had migrated off the couch so hopefully the end is near and she can resume her daily activities again.
I am on antibiotics again for an infection and John has been battling some sort of sinus/cold this week as well. Needless to say I am glad the week has come to an end. I hope we can put the week behind us and have a better week next week.
