Definately a BOY!!

Well, I went for another ultrasound today, and this baby is definitely a boy!!! I'll spare you the picture of the "proof", but trust me he was very proud to show off today. We did get this little picture of him sideways.
He isn't very cooperative with the 3-D images, but this is his right side with his little hand up next to his face. The Dr. said everything looked to be forming well... no abnormalities found... and he was measuring right on track with our Jan 13 due date. This little picture was taken the other night at Sonya's house. This tub was very full! By the time all were bathed, I'm pretty sure there was more water in the floor than in the tub. It was fun though :) (That's Raegan, Brodie and Macie)
Macie would not cooperate for the towel picture, so we just got Brodie and Raegan. Funny how Brodie looks bigger than Raegan and is 5 months younger :)
I'm running just a little behind on this, but this is Raegan's 1 year picture in the reading chair. If I can ever find the time, I'll organize all her monthly pics in the chair and let you see how much she has changed.
Raegan loves to "Bye-O" in her new rocking chair. Her little cousin Ethan got this for her birthday, and she goes over and says "bye-o" to rock the baby. It's pretty cute.
Here is typical Raegan. She almost always has her feet crossed when she sits, and if you look closely... her tongue is stuck out. Yet another "trait" of hers. Oh the little quirks of kiddos!
Well, for those of you who do not know, we are off to Cherry Grove Beach on Saturday. It was supposed to be our yearly family vacation with my mom and dad and Scott, Tammy and Ben. Unfortunately, Ben has come down with Mono, so they won't be able to go this year. This is two years in a row that something has happened to prevent the whole family from going. (last year I gave birth to that sweet little red-head so we didn't get to go) As Scott said, when you have kids, you never know what will come up. Maybe next year we will all get to go! See you in a week!

Mama's little helper

Not only is Raegan helping daddy mow the yard these days, but she is also trying her hand at housework. I was sweeping the kitchen yesterday, and she was suddenly fascinated with the broom. It didn't seem to matter that it was 5 times larger than her, she started by pushing it around, and before long was dragging it behind her. This is encouraging to see, since I'm sure that I will need lots of help when Baby Boy Roop decides to join our family. I've got 4 1/2 months to teach her how to cook dinner and do dishes!

She even tried to sweep up the pile just like I do. It was pretty funny watching her mimic me!

This was her attempt at saying "cheese" into the camera. She really wanted a close up :)

Horse Show and Mowing with Daddy

We recently watched as our little cousin Connor, who just turned 3 in July, participate in his first horse show. He won second place in 3 events, 1st place in the stick horse event, and placed 4th in the dress-up event. He really "wowed" the crowd as he led his mini horse 'Little Red" around the ring. Raegan kept saying "OOOH!' as the horses trotted by. She was pretty amazed at them. I was very excited to show off her wearing a bow in her hair. Encouragement from friends with little girls has kept me trying to keep bows in her hair, but usually as soon as I put them in, she jerks them out! Somehow I managed to distract her enough this one time and it stayed in for about 2 hours!!!
Can you tell by the pink cheeks that it was very HOT that day. Needless to say, I got a little sick from the heat and the aroma of horse poo!
Here she is "riding" Little Red. She wasn't so sure about this horse though :)
Here she is helping daddy mow the yard. She kept watching the grass fly out the side.
I told Tony Raegan looks just like him! What do you think?
After a while, she decided to watch from the patio. She giggled every time Tony rode past.
This is how she talks on the phone. She tucks it under her chin like mama!Puckering up for a kiss :)

More beach pictures and wagon rides

Sonya gave me some pictures that she took with camera while we were at the beach. So if you are tired of beach pictures, hope these don't bore you. We actually have another beach vacation coming up in about 2 weeks. Here she is hanging out in the surf with her buddy Brodie. A family picture on the beach.
Raegan was fascinated with this beach chair of Macie's. She loved that it was just her size.
Just so you know, I was scolded by Raegan's dad for putting her in a two piece bathing suit. He thinks it's just inappropriate! Sonya's mom and aunt Frances were nice enough to keep all our kids one night and let the parents go out for a night on the town. We ate at The Salty Dog Cafe and called it a night at 10:30. We are wild and crazy :)
This was my favorite picture taken the whole week. It's definitely getting blown up and framed!Raegan's new favorite (daily!) activity is riding around our yard in her wagon. This was one of her birthday gifts and has so far been the favorite. It's also good exercise for big mama here to pull her around in it. (especially since she never wants to get out :)
"Let's go again!"
"Why do we have to keep stopping to take pictures!"
" I'll just kick back and relax."
I thought this one was funny. It's taken in our front yard which slopes a little. I was actually laying on the ground looking up at her taking this one. It's funny because she looks as tall as our house.

Swimming with Ryan

We went swimming last week with our friends Lisa and Ryan. I'm a little slower these days at putting pictures up, so we finally remembered to do this. We had lots of fun in and out of the water. Here are Ryan and Raegan taking a little break from the water to relax. Ryan was very concerned that Raegan needed to stay well hydrated.
"I wish my mom wouldn't make me wear this goofy hat!"
"Did somebody say cheese puffs?"
We are still working on "lady like" positions. As you can see, she is a work in progress :)
Getting ready to swim. Playing with Keisha.
