Sunday Best

Although we didn't make it to Sunday School this morning (don't ask!), we did manage to get out the door looking half way decent. Especially Raegan. We had a funeral to go to, so we missed church as well. We did however manage to get a couple of cute pictures of Raegan walking around outside church with her Grandad. She absolutely loves to walk, and can do so with a little assistance. Here are some of the shots we got. She really thinks she is big stuff :)
Look what I can do!!!
This is my "I'm so cute" face.
Do you like her sunhat?
Despite the blinding sun, this picture turned out pretty good. Raegan was more interested in my necklace than smiling for the camera. It's sad, but I really just wear jewelry to keep Raegan entertained when the need strikes.

Beautiful girl!

Now I know that Raegan is OUR daughter, but isn't' she just about the most beautiful thing you have ever seen!!! I just loved this picture of her. Those eyes will make your heart just melt sometimes. This is her new "thing" She is trying her best to start walking. Just skipped right over crawling and has gone straight to walking. She loves it!
We've joked and said that we are going to get a saddle for Tucker since he is big enough for her to ride :) He tolerates so much... such a good dog!
He came to greet her while she was walking around.
I believe that having Tucker was training for raising Raegan... reason being that Tucker eats everything (I mean EVERYTHING) that resembles food from the ground. Well, this is my daughter picking up a tiny little rock that quickly went straight for her mouth. This was shortly after I had just plucked a piece of grass from her little fingers... that was also headed straight for her mouth. Casey never really messed with non-food items. Tucker and Raegan, they just want to eat :)
Raegan actually pays attention to the television now. Here she is enjoying some Sesame Street the other day. It's pretty funny to watch her dance along to some of the songs. Check out those miniature feet holding this girl up! She thinks she is so big walking and standing by herself. No one could convince her that she is among the smallest of children her age :)

I love Spaghetti and Strawberries!

Raegan tried spaghetti last night for the first time. We have been slowly introducing her to new foods by letting her "test" what we eat for dinner. She loves to explore anything new, and even though she is still toothless, she is always willing to try new things. Her other new favorite is strawberries. Not a combination you and I would eat, but Raegan loved it :)
She needed a little help at the end, but Mama was there to lend a hand!Just look at that face! Doesn't it look like she enjoyed her meal?!?

Eight months!

Eight Months!!! I can't believe that my baby is already 8 months old! I tried and tried to get a good eight month picture in the "reading chair" but she was pretty uncooperative. She doesn't really like to sit these days, but LOVES to stand up and "walk" with you holding her hands. This is the only decent picture that I got while she was sitting down. She looks really sneaky!
This is a picture of her waving bye-bye. Sometimes you get this exaggerated arm-slinging wave, and other times you get this measly little finger wiggling. It really depends on her mood. Here she is clapping her hands to one of our favorite songs... "If your happy and you know it" (you know the rest) I just wish that you could hear her SING!Here she is reaching for me saying "Can you just get me already and quit taking pictures? I'm done!" Did anyone notice there is finally a curtain hanging in the window?! It only took 1 1/2 years to actually get curtains!!!

Taking a walk

For the last couple of days, we have been able to get out of the house and take a family walk. It's been such nice weather around here, but we are not looking forward to the cold temperatures coming our way again this weekend. We are ready for SPRING!!! Anyway, these were from our walk this evening. Look at this cool girl we got to take with us :)
I usually push the stroller, but this time we ended up switching and I walked the dogs. I really just wanted to let Tucker and Casey help me up the hills. I'm a little sore from all the walking :) Here are our other big babies. Tucker and Casey LOVE when the weather warms up enough for us to walk around the neighborhood. (For those who don't know Casey is the Golden on the left and Tucker is the Lab on the right. Aren't they cute!)

Twinkle Twinkle

Nancy "Ms P" Olsen and Dr. Dave got this star for Raegan a long time ago. It has been hanging on her crib for a very long time, but she just recently started playing with it. It plays twinkle twinkle little star, but her favorite thing is to chew on the pull string. Speaking of Twinkle twinkle... Did any of you know that the ABC song is to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle??? Try it! Raegan loves to sing with me (those of you who sit near us in church can probably confirm that :) and we just happened to sing the ABC's followed by Twinkle Twinkle and I just realized it was the same tune. Imagine, 26 years of singing those songs and just now putting 2 + 2 together! For those of you who didn't know either, you are not alone :)
Just look at this brave little girl! She still is not able to pull up on anything by herself, but she can certainly hold herself up if you put her there. As you can see, mama is not as confidant as she is. She just looks too little to be able to stand up by herself! She is such a little munchkin :) We weighed and measured her the other night and she is roughly 16 lbs and 26 inches long at 8 months. I don't think she is setting any records.SO BRAVE!
It was daddy's night to bath Raegan. I'm not sure if you can see it, but there are dots in the middle of the picture. Those are actually water beads from where she was splashing so hard. Tony and I are usually the ones who end up getting just as wet as she does. At least she has a good time!

Party girls

These are the cutest Hokie fans I've ever seen! Our friends, the Butchers, came over to help cheer on the Hokies when they played UVA. Unfortunately, our efforts were in vein since they lost :( We still had a great time. Mama gave Raegan a ride this evening. I'm not sure if you can see but she had my hair crammed in her mouth. You can tell by my hair-do that she loves to play with my hair (she does play with her hair a little :)
Raegan's Uncle Brandon came to visit the other day. She has a stone cold look on her face, but it was because she had just gotten up from a nap. She loved Brandon! He's a natural with kids!!! (get the hint Sarah :)
I just thought this picture was neat. I just took it directly over her head. She has a cute little swirl pattern to her hair, don't you think!
This was actually a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to put it up. This was Ellie's first trip to the dentist and she was so brave... until I brought out the paste. I only got one tooth cleaned and she started gagging and then the crocodile tears started flowing. Needless to say, we didn't get anymore teeth cleaned after that. Annie liked telling everyone that Ellie only got one tooth cleaned :) Annie, on the other hand, is an old pro at getting her teeth cleaned and did a great job!
