Sorry Daddy!

We tried to remember to put pictures up everyday, but somehow we did not succeed. At least you can see what she did tonight, and tomorrow you will be here to see for yourself! YEAH!!!!

Raegan and Tucker hung out for a little while. Then she decided to do a little light reading before bedtime. :) No don't worry, Raegan didn't discover how to pull herself up while you were gone. But she did discover that she can hold herself up if you put her there! She looks pretty surprised.

And last but not least your bath night favorite... a Raegan burrito. She is sound asleep now, and I hope that soon I will be to. I risked waking her to take this last picture for you since you haven't been here to look at her before we go to bed. We miss you Daddy and are ready for you to come home tomorrow! YIPPY!!!!! I love you Tony! See you soon.

This is for you Daddy!

Well, Tony is out of town on business for a few days. I don't know who was more sad, me or him. He had a very hard time leaving behind his "girls". He asked me if I would update the website everyday while he was gone so he didn't seem so far away. I'll do my best Tony! Here is what you missed tonight. This was at bath time tonight. As little as this grin looks, it's about the best we got out of her today. She wasn't feeling will yesterday (fever all day), and still was a bit cranky today (no fever anymore). So I was glad to see this tiny little grin. Bath time is always a favorite of hers.
I couldn't resist taking a picture of this very RED hair. It's glowing in this picture. We did think about you a lot this evening daddy. We used your favorite towel...
Dressed in your favorite PJ's...
And even wore one of your favorite bibs while eating dinner. What you can't hear is just how much Raegan talked about you this evening. All she has said is Da Da Da Da Da Da Da. She sings it, whispers it, and even blew you a few "razberries" in between. It's like she knows that you aren't going to be here tonight. :(

I thought you would like this one. She kept looking at the fish on our screen saver, but she tilts her head now to get a better look from a different angle. Such a funny girl! All in all, daddy, we miss you already and can't wait for you to get back home. Baby Raegan told me to tell you that she loves you very much. I love you Tony!

Wild Thing!

Check out this WILD hair! It always looks the wildest in the tub, so that's why I keep posting bath pics. And yes... it's still very RED! This is me, Ellie and Raegan at her Nana's the other night. We were celebrating Dot, Scott and Bob's birthdays. It had been a surprise party until Ellie secretly told Granny Dot they were having her a party but not to tell anyone :) Kids!
Here is Tony "hiding" under they table with Ellie. As you can see, it's not a very good spot. Why is it that the most simple things, like this red cup, can entertain babies forever! Of all her toys (and trust me she has lots!) she likes to play with cups, paper, remotes, and phones. I liked this one because I caught the cup in action. She likes to get my feet sometimes. It looks like she is holding on with both her feet and her hand. Look at her monkey toes :)

Cheerios and Chicken????

I just thought this was funny, Raegan launched her chicken into my cheerios the other morning. She's got a pretty good arm on her (her daddy claims she will be an excellent ball player :) and pretty good aim as you can see here. Don't worry, the chicken survived unharmed!
Due to lots of runny noses (and not wanting to pass them back and forth) we haven't been able to hang out with our friends the Ratliffs lately. Everyone is well again, so we decided to go visit with them last night. Here are all three of the kiddos. Macie, Raegan and Brodie. As you can see, Raegan and Brodie are almost the same size. You would never guess that Raegan is 5 months older than Brodie.

This is Raegan taking Macie's four-wheeler for a spin. Her Auntie Sonya rode her around all over the house and she just loved it.
Sonya and I decided that we were brave enough to try an outing with all 3 kids by ourselves. We thought a trip to Sam's would work because they have this neat double shopping cart where both kids can sit up front and we put Brodie in the cart in his car seat. Every store should have to have the option of a double seated shopping cart! It worked out great, and we even braved a sit down lunch at Applebees. We had a great day out and about. I really missed hanging out with my best bud!
And last, I just had to put this picture of Macie and Brodie on. You can really see just how chubby Brodie is... especially since he is crammed in Macie's baby doll stroller. He is such a laid back kid. As long as you feed him (often) he will pretty much just go along with whatever.

Cutie

Well, nothing much going on in the Roop's world. I just thought I'd put a couple of cute new pics on today. This first one shows Raegan's love for water. She won't drink juice at all, but loves water either in a sippy or from a straw. We were at a Mexican restaurant the other night and I just decided to take a few pics. Tony and I joked that we wish they had a mini sombrero for her to take a picture in :)
Her other favorite activity at a restaurant is banging her toys as loud as she can on the table. She wants to make sure that everyone in the restaurant is disturbed :) It's not really that bad, but it always seems like we are the loudest table no matter where we go. This is her favorite toy to bang with, but as you can see she took a break from banging to cram all of it in her mouth. She is definitely her Mama's daughter with a mouth like that!
Raegan has recently discovered just how much fun JUMPING can be! Raegan's Mamaw bought her this Johnny-Jump-Up, and she absolutely loves it. We now have a jump-a-roo too thanks to our cousin Ben letting us borrow his old one. This picture is taken in the doorway of our bathroom where I get ready. Notice, however, how slender the door frame is... I'm not sure how well the sides of the door are going to hold up. She is VERY wild in this thing, and usually has it twisted in a knot by the time I get her out. Oh well, at least she is having fun. :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Well, it's a cold, blustery Valentines Day here in Tazewell. It's funny how things change in the course of a year or two. This year, Valentines Day will not be about candle lit dinners, bubble baths and sweet snuggle sessions with my hubby in front of the fire (at least not until Raegan goes to bed :) No, this year we will be celebrating in a different way... and this is our dinner date! Let's hope that she doesn't decide to "paint" herself or her high chair like this tonight at the restaurant!
Raegan will be joining me and her daddy on our Valentines Dinner. We have a 5:00 reservation at Yong's Cuisine here in Tazewell tonight. (that's right 5:00... at least we can get her in bed on time :) How can we resist such a precious date? After all, she does clean up pretty nice!
There will be a bubble bath tonight, but it will be filled with another little red head and lots of bath toys instead of rose petals and candles. Yes, our lives have definitely changed since our first Valentines Day, but you know what... I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. This morning, Raegan and I were surprised with sweet cards and gifts from her daddy. He says there is more when he gets home, but we have to wait and see. These were the books he got us. How special it is to have someone that loves us as much as Tony does! Yes, this Valentines Day is WAY more special than all of them so far. I think that Raegan and I will definitely keep her Da-Da-Da around! I hope everyone has a special Valentines Day!

A little early

I know that Valentines Day is not until next week, but I always feel bad when she only wears a holiday outfit just once. So we dressed up today and acted like it was Valentines Day, and we will do it again next week (and probably the week after that :) I like to get a little wear out of everything. This will be her 7 month picture in the "reading chair".
And yes, this is Raegan standing all by herself. She isn't able to pull up on anything yet, but if you put her there she will stand as long as her little feet will support her. She still hasn't taken and interest in crawling, but she did take a couple of steps the other night (assisted of course) I don't know that I'm prepared to have a mobile child yet! Let the childproofing begin :)
And speaking of little feet, I just had to take this picture. They don't even look real! I think she might be in a size 1 now, but her Robeez boots (size 0-6 months) are about a 1/2 inch too long. She isn't going to have very big feet. Of course, we don't think she is going to be very big. She might be up to 15 - 15 1/2 lbs now. A petite thing!
How SNEAKY is this little face. It's like a cat who just swallowed a mouse and is licking his lips... now that I think about it she was trying to eat her monkey's ear.
"WHAT, we are out of bananas! OH NO! They are my favorite." I love this look of shock.

Found her tongue AGAIN!

I don't know about other kids, but is seems like every couple of days Raegan becomes fascinated with a new body part of hers. First her tongue, then her hands, then her feet, then her ears, and so on. Well, now all of a sudden we are back to her tongue. She loses interest once she discovers something new, but she only has so many parts. I must say I didn't miss all of the drool that comes along with things she does with her tongue, but I guess it could be worse. She hasn't yet discovered what lurks in her diaper :) So here are a few cute pictures of Raegan "playing" with her tongue.
I just thought this was cute, my two sweeties hanging out in there tee shirts.

YEP... that's hair!

Well folks, it looks like Raegan is finally growing some hair. I thought I'd show you how it spikes up when it's wet. I'm pretty sure there is no denying that red hair either.
And here is just a quick shot of Raegan's mood when she isn't feeling well. This was a couple of weeks ago, and pretty much sums up her mood all day long. She really does have a little temper to go along with that red hair... I wonder where is gets it :)
