Gotta have a good Story.

O.K., I love cute Christmas stories. The sad ones are good but I like the ones with a good ending. I like this one. The Missing Five Pound Note Chippenham George worked for the Post Office and his job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day just before Christmas, a letter landed on his desk simply addressed in shaky handwriting: 'To God'. With no other clue on the envelope, George opened the letter and read: Dear God, I am an 93 year old widow living on the State pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had £100 in it, which was all the money I had in the world and no pension due until after Christmas. Next week is Christmas and I had invited two of my friends over for Christmas lunch. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. God; can you please help me? Chippenham George was really touched, and being kind hearted, he put a copy of the letter up on the staff notice board at the main Fareham sorting office where he worked. The letter touched the other postmen and they all dug into their pockets and had a whip round. Between them they raised £95. [$190 USD] Using an officially franked Post Office envelope, they sent the cash on to the old lady, and for the rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of the nice thing they had done. Christmas came and went. A few days later, another letter simply addressed to 'God' landed in the Sorting Office. Many of the postmen gathered around while George opened the letter. It read, Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your generosity, I was able to provide a lovely luncheon for my friends. We had a very nice day, and I told my friends of your wonderful gift - in fact we haven't gotten over it and even Father John, our parish priest, is beside himself with joy. By the way, there was £5 [$10 USD] missing. I think it must have been those thieving fellows at the Post Office. George could not help musing on Oscar Wilde's quote: 'A good deed never goes unpunished'

Hi All. Last night I visited with an old family friend and ward member, Bette Sue. And I am going to make a goal to walk a marathon. I am not sure if you follow any shows or not, like The Biggest Loser -(I don't LOL!) I didn't even know she lost as much as she did. But she and her daughter were on the show for a while and her daughter won. Her daughter is so driven and inspirational. So.....It's been all I have heard about in that ward! It is so crazy. She spoke at Homemaking last night in my home ward (my mom's) and we all had a good time. She is so funny. But also aside the joking and funny side, she can be quite spititual. Which brings me to the point, that after the show Bette Sue has decided that thru much prayer and consideration, she feels it is nessasary to share her story. It is spiritually uplifting as this was a battle for her and her daughter not just for weight but to gain more confidence and draw closer to Heavenly Father. It ended up being a real neat experience. Her topic she talks about is "something lost, something gained". So if any of you would like her to visit your ward just say so.

I need to whine a bit. Just hear me out. Mike and I were talking today and Trey (guy who bought our buisness) wants to get rid of it. (Plug in scary sound effects please) Trey says he's just walking away and is starting something else. So now that leads Mike to think about leaving where he is at and trying to get the buisness back. !!!!! I want to cry. Whoa. Before I honestly do that, I have do have some good reasons why.
  1. No way am I going to start the whole no getting any money in the bank because "so and so" won't pay. It happens. Some customers think they can just skip a month and then pay for 2 or 3 months at a time with out warning. It messes with my pocket. Sorry, no can do.
  2. That leads me to- Cami doing the books is a really bad idea! You will see me bald from pulling my hair out, and in a straight jacket before Cmas if that goes. Bottom line, out of the question!
  3. I like that there is still a paycheck if it rains. Landscaping all depends on the weather.

Ok. I am done. And I need to p/u the kids. Later.

Growing

You ever hear those cute sounds that your kids make when they get up in the morning? little coos from the baby, gigling kids and let's see- at my house Dallin says- ahh man no hair yet! He is checking for facial and armpit hair. Sometimes there are other words and I shake my head, I can't decide if I should laugh or not...He is convinced that since he turned 11 (The magic number I suppose) that big things are going to happen very soon. LOL!

Dallin is so proud!

About a year or 2 ago, Dallin snuck some seeds out and put them in the ground by our mailbox. I didn't think it would result in anything. But now it is a regular thing.

Hannah too!

Like I said it is nothing fancy- but Hannah wanted her hair done too. But hers is short so I tried to do a chinese bun. I didn't have any of those cute hair sticks, so I used chopsticks. LOL! Here is what I came up with... And the finished result for Sara. ??? It was quick. & easy.

Hair do's

Okay. My cousin has this cute link to a gal who talks and demos cute hair styles for lil' gals on her blog and I love it. Look what I tried. Not too fancy. It was quite durable and lasted long after playing and a nap. The gal who demoed it did way better than I did, but I was in a hurry and only had clips. No b.pins. Bummer. But I am glad I had this to refer to. Can't wait for more fun stuff to try!

And another crazy week goes by! I think I like my job as an instructional aide at the school. Well as much as I can. I do enjoy working there. The little girl I help is darling! This job has got me thinking of going back to school. I am afraid of that though. I am not sure I can do it all the way through. And think about it, if I am this nuts who in the heck would let me back in school? Heck to teach school?? WOW. What am I thinking??? Okay back to the job thing. The Crosswalk- I do not love so much. I'm not liking to be in that oh so sexy yellow florecent vest every morning. It is way hotter in that vest than you'd think. The cooler mornings are a bit of help. Tell me this, would you stop if a gal in a sexy, yellow, florecent vest, holding up a stop sign, was in a well marked crosswalk? Hmmmm. me neither. no wonder I have almost been ran over at least a dozen times!! By the way, just a general announcement: no photos! Because today there was almost an accident at the crosswalk from that kind of crazy idea. Dallin was trying to take pics of me on his cell phone!!! Yes his phone is alright but if any of you put him up to that...I swear your camera might have problems. Voo-doo. That's all I will say. No- umm he was saying he needed a pic of his hero for his hero report. LOL! I think that other job of being a mom is by far the best!

All is well with us. We are also, and really busy. It seems I am missing everyone's calls quite often. I apologize if I am hard to get a hold of. I went back to work at the school where Dallin and Hannah go. I am working with a Downs Syndrome girl who is just adorable. My official title is an Instructional Aide/ Special ED a/b. I am very happy with my job. Originally I was looking for a crosswalk position. But I am waiting for my fingerprint clearance to come back. Get this... I and anyone else who work for the schools qualify and are cleared to work with students one on one. But I can't work with a group of kids if my background and fingerprints don't come back yet!! I say that it should be the other way around. Crazy Huh? Any way, This was a job intended to help fill in some of the gap that we have for the $ Mike would normally take home. Very spur of the moment. I figured I could find a job at the school sooner than Mike could find a good paying career job that lets me be a stay at home Mom. And it works out that if Sara is in preschool, and I work part time, it helps me get a bit more organized in a way. This is actually working out well. So to get a hold of me I will be more able to answer the phone after noon everyday. (FYI) Life has taken a good turn lately. LOL! All is good.
