New York New York

On wednesday, I went for this class gathering with some of my poly friends. We went to New York New York (NYNY) at City Link. First time there :) On the menu, there were burgers, pizzas, pastas and sort.. American food..

In the end I ordered 'Juicy Burger' - item no. 401 - hahah, i remembered because all of us ordered by giving our food item number.. easier to order than to try to figure out how to pronounce some of the names, or try tongue-twistering names, or simply to lazy to read the long names.

This burger has only an inch thick beef patty in between + some sauces and that's all. Ok, there were also some fries and veggie as you can see.. So if you put the veggie in the burger, it'll simply look like an enlarged version of BK's whopper burger. But then, this freaking burger cost me $10.90 :x - the cow must be some special breed, maybe it was Cow King or some sort. Haha.. The most expensive burger ever eaten.

And i tell you......................... Eat until can DIE!!

It's one day after that dinner already and I'm still suffering from the 'side-effects'. Felt like puking when I reach home. It's just that I hate the idea about vomitting, maybe I should just learn how to puke so that I won't feel so terrible until now. I tried to stick the finger in my throat, but only felt acidic juice burning my throat.. I don't dare to puke..

Anyways, I didn't even finish the whole thing on my own, k!! I gave 1/6 of it to my friend and.. haha.. ate about 5/6 of the burger (plus i forgo 40% of the breadbun ok.. hehe..)

And I had 2 helpful friends that just self-help themselves to 80% of my fries.. Come on, $10.90 burger, of course I'll die die eat the cow part..

Ok, you can see that I'm trying to be super detailed to describe that I never finish the whole burger thing on my own.. whahaa.. but neither did I allow the waitress to clear the plate while there are still food on it.. $10.90, you know.. I'll 'ta-bao' to feed the dogs if I have too.. ya right..

WARNING: If you want to try their burger - SHARE :)

Their biggest burger is like 6 or 8 inches wide, can't remember.. I calculated.. You can eat 1/4 of it for lunch, then keep 1/4 for dinner, save another 2/4 for next morning's breakfast and lunch. Either that... share with 4 peepz and you guys can wipe that off the plate without much difficulty.

I totally hate the feeling now.. The experience is totally bad.. I have been eating like laxative.. in huge amounts.. and shitted 3 times today already.. but still feel terrible.. I've been drinking like tea and coffee that can help to quicken the digestion..

Let's move on from the burger saga and let me introduce this great drink. Lime Light Lemon - item no. 1509. I like it :) It is a big ice ball of lime + lemon juice in a cup. You know the limeade that McDonald's sells.. it gets diluted by the ice that is used to keep the drink cold. But not this drink, not diluted in taste at all and it remains cold till the last sip. Great yea! $6.90.. it better be..

Spent $20++ that day over dinner. Common expenditure with such gathering. I think it won;t hurt so much when I work :(

Lastly, introducing friends that gathered that day. Yea.. only 30% girls.. why?! Because I chose Multimedia Computing course. Male-dominated course. I chose that because I'm super good with IT... Wrong.. because I'm stupid :x Basically, that's all the girls we have (one more malay girl also actually) in a class of 20.

Oh.. the one in the middle (black shirt).. He is studying for 2 honour degrees at one go.. Some people just have the brains -_-"

But then again, days were much better off then with Lynn (left pic) and Huiwen (right pic).

OK.. that's all for now.. I'm going to sleep.. I hope I'll shit out whatever is left, in my intestines, of the Cow King tomorrow..

Eewww.. reminds me of sauages.. Beef sausage.. wahaha..

The old has gone, the new has come :)

Blogging this up so as to remember them. Yup.. the old Far-North team, including the JC leaders, Zixin and Matthias. You can roughly tell their personalities from the photos... whaha..

It's a great opportunity to be able to work with the two of them. It was my first time leading a JC group. Never thought that I'd be leading a JC group in my entire youth ministry. Even though it was for a short two months, I've learnt a lot from them.

I am really encouraged by their willingness to serve as leaders. They need to sacrifice many things in order to be available and effective in the ministry. While the rest of their peers or even their group members are spending much of their times studying, they may need to spend time planning for the group. However, "seek first His Kingdom, and all these things will be given to you as well", I'm so sure that God will rise them up above the rest because He promised to make those who obey His word 'the head and not the tail'.

Looks like we all have a 'common enemy'.

Q: Why does David always end up being the one 'tau pok' and mistreated?
A: He asked for it. [Always calling people names and embarassing people - his retribution.. whaha]

Q: How to get David 'tau pok' for sure?
A: When the 'tau pok flu' is spreading, just simply shout "David Hoe" and point in his direction :)

The old has already gone.. The NEW has come!! Introducing the new team..

From Left to right:

Leading North B - Daryl Kang (DK). Speciality: Human magnet.

Leading North - Mok Zi Ying. Speciality: Hint by staring.

Leading North C - David Hoe. Speciality: Talk non-stop.

Leading North A - Joyce Tan. Speciality: Train CG into an Army force.

I realised Shirley posted this photo in her blog.. "We all look so ugly here la.." DK looks like he kena whack in one eye, David looks like monkey, I look like I'm constipated... I think Joyce looks the best.. wahhaha..

I dunno about the other 3.. but i pretty much enjoy our ULM :) We even have 'ULM set meal' including a plate fries, a box of fruits and individual drinks. But seemingly, the menu keeps increasing weekly.. hmm..

Ok.. so 4 people united together to bring about a spiritual revival in North?
WRONG!! We have a whole team together with us..
A capable team. A easily-mobilised and efficient team. Our people are involved in almost all church ministries.. we are so talented right!!!

We do not have anyone in lights ministry yet because they have enough volunteers le.. my kind contribution was rejected :(

The North people are obedient and willing. It is not difficult to lead them at all. I'm like having so much fun.. haha.. I hope this is not one-sided..

Meetings, whichever level it may be, are always fun.. The people always amuses me.. I can't help it but laugh at them.. ya.. they are the jokes.. This group is attractive to non-believers because of the family-element, the fun-factor & the victorious atmosphere... Yup, we can't help it but SHINE!!!

Celine & Vivien

I have known these 2 girls since there were primary school students; primary 6 to be exact. They are sisters of my 2 ex-sheep; Cynthia (Vivien) & Shiyun (Celine). Now both of them are in secondary 2.. gosh.. how time flies. They are doing so much more than me when I was 14.. wahaha.. They are now shepherds of amazing sheep as well.. You are what you produce :) I'm excited to see how they will bring North to yet another greater heights.

The three of us look like we are going to faint any moment -_-"
