Niu Che Sui

WHOA.. I came back alive lo.. haha.. the crowd is like.. MASSIVE.. cannot move freely.. your left, right, back, front is bascially another victim in this CNY eve mad rush.. can't see anything in the temporary setup stalls.. you can only move one direction --> Front.. try changing direction and you'll hear people tsk you.. so therefore everyone is entering the lane just trying to get out at the other end.. a bit no meaning but that's the only way for you to get to the 'other side'..

We had 11 people in this organized outing.. so it's hard to stay together.. so in the midst of the crazy crowd Joyce decided to hold up her 'flag' so that we can see where she is leading us to.. so that we can follow her, from wherever we are..

Initially Joyce was in front of me. Then she got a little further ahead.. but then.. a while later..

It's either she moved super swiftly through the crowd.. or I got left behind..

Whatever the case.. we will not be daunted.. some of us enjoy the feeling of being sardines..

My sister and my cousin came along too :) But my cousin's face couldn't be seen (in the third pic).. the one behind me and in front of yong mei.. head turned away.. :p

After the pushing and shoving around.. with the persuasion of Ting and Mok Zihui.. we decided to stop for snow ice.. $3/bowl.. kwel..

Snow Ice Aunty in action..

Strawberry Snow Ice.. Yummy!!

Yougurt Snow Ice.. Yum yum..

Even eating snow ice didn't chill our hot princess.. hmm..

Sathya and Eugene enjoying their snow ice..

The starter of it all, still waiting for her Snow Ice when everyone has already gotten theirs.. sob sob.. Joyce almost finish hers liao wo..

Finally we bid Chinatown all hot and sweaty.. David is so proud of himself getting us into this mess.. well..he's always take pride in his creations.. no matter how they turn out.. with such a secure person.. he won't need a bouncer in his life.. wahah.. i made a funny.. Wateva..

O'levels - Consititue of only 6% of our lives

Hi.. just before i go 'pom pom' (bath).. just drop a message here..
Just talked to one ex-sheep about o'level results..

O'levels consititue of only 6% of our lives, that is if you live till 70 years old. This percentage depends on how long you live. If you a bit 'duan ming' probably percentage will be higher..

I think that our results are a mixture of our abilities, our efforts and our dependance on God. Our results may be a combination of any three.. maybe all three, may be two of the three, or simply just on one factor.

For those who never do as well as you predicted or wish..

It could be because you are simply lazy - so don't blame cambridge or your mother's cooking. Just take responsibility of your laziness and snap out of your self-denial.

If you have worked hard and didn't do so well, perhaps God wants to protect you from certain path that you have decided (without Him) to take [Priscilla Tan can testify on this area]..

Or perhaps, God wants you to experience His power and be the star witness of His blessings and goodness.

For those of you who do well, keep on doing well and don't go ya ya papaya. Your success may become your stumbling block. You have success once doesn't mean it's with you forever, it is so with character as well :)

I always believe that those who trust in the Lord will end in victory. Anyway, who determines who is successful and victorious in the final hour.. It's God, not us. Perhaps for us Christians, we should look into God's word now and determine for ourselves what is important and slog our lives for it, cause that is what we will get rewarded for. Yeah.. because we only got one life to do it.. if you waste it on irrelevant things, then it's your boo boo..

Finally, whether we go heaven or not, it is actually decided by us - whether we choose to meet God's criteria.. haha.. cause it is His house that you want to enter in. No one can blame God for not letting him/her into His house because we are the ones who choose to not enter. If you choose to enter, we'll meet in heaven.. yea!! If you choose not, then probably we will never meet again once you or I (whoever faster) leaves earth.

I tot it was going to be a short blogging.. haha.. i'm at this for more than half an hour.. thinking and typing..

Just before i go.. For those who are still studying..

Don't worry if you didn't do so well in your exams, your exam results won't be engraved on your tombstone.

Even if you do well, you won't want to have this engraved on your tombstone - "Some one who has been a great examination candidate in his(her) life time. RIP."

Self-denial

Don't only agree to ideas that support your hypothesis.. You'll become like Hitler..

A sad day

Hiya.. i'm going for LC tomorrow.. but i a bit sad now.. i just went for my sec 4 form teacher's husband's funeral. He died in a sailing accident or some sort.. He is only like 40 +++.. so young.. and they have 3 sons...

I attended the funeral mass, standing up.. cause the area was kinda small and there were a lot of people.. I managed to meet her after the mass, in the midst of a lot of ex- and current students, relatives, friends..

She remembered me.. great :) She was smiling.. weakly though.. actually didn't feel like crying... but when she initiated to hug me.. i teared a bit.. :(

She is one of the few.. very few.. very very few teachers i am grateful to.. haha.. i think one of those teachers that scold me and i willingly accept one.. haha.. coming from a lousy class, it's not difficult to tell which teacher really bothers about the students..

it's kinda sad to see her in this situation..

It's the 1st catholic funeral i attend.. and i tot it's kinda ritual.. Prayers are said systematically - priest say something, people answers in unison, and some hymms sung. There wasn't testimonies or personal stories shared (perhaps it's just that one mass i attended).. i tot the priest sounded robotic..

**************************************************************************
just reminded me of the masses i attended in school.. i never remember anything that was said in the mass.. there were 'sermon' times too, but i never knew that it was 'sermon' time.. i just tot the priest had to say some script for about 15 mins? No offence.. but i really didn't know.. i first found out when i was sec 4, when i heard the priest reading a passage about apostle paul.. (how i know about paul.. haha.. due to shepherding, cg, ss..).

i attended mass since pri 1 - sec 4.. can you imagine?! 10 years of mass.. nothing impactful.. I don't even know what communion is about, though is was a ritual every mass.. hey.. it's kinda sad that 10 years attending masses and i dunno anything about it..

Wait.. there's 1 mass that i remember full well.. the one that my class IC.. we sang praise song (for closing) and dance on stage..i think some traditional catholics were angry but.. hehe.. as usual.. my class don't care..

**************************************************************************

Wah.. i saw my disciplinary mistress la.. *blood boil*.. I'm taller than her.. ee yer.. spoil my day..

I saw my VP too, went to say hihi.. then she replied "don't wander too far, always know where home is, (then she recite the school's address)".. haha.. hmm..
