Not sure what I'm doing here... The past feels unreal. Hope everyone's doing well.

05 January 2014 @ 10:10 PM

Hi everyone,

Just a heads up that our annual chalet for the year 2013 will happen somewhere along the lines of March.

Setting the dates is always the biggest hurdle so when the time comes, please try to be more responsive and decisive k?

Fun fact: the upcoming chalet will be our eighth one (twice in 2009 if I remember correctly).

More information to come your way soon so do look out on Whatsapp, Facebook and this space.

I wonder how many people still come here so... leave a comment if you see this? x

2013

This marks the first ever post in 2013.
Hello fellow 1E1/2E1-ians. I hope all of you are doing well. (:
(Please pardon any grammatical/spelling errors in this post. It's late and I'm tired hehe)

This upcoming March, I'm going to plan a chalet for all of you.
I know there have been many numerous failed attempts to create a chalet since last year, and I'm so sorry for not following up to those incidents.
However, I assure you that this year, there will definitely be a chalet.

It's going to be held on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday because some of them are on internships and some are working.

Reasons why you should go? (Please read every single point)

- Cause the guys are going to the army soon and we may not be able to see them till 'when they are free'
- Cause every one will be going for their internships soon.

- (For Poly students) Cause we are all going to graduate from poly soon
- (For both poly and JC students) Cause we are all entering Universities or going out to work. This takes up a lot of our time and it'll be VERY difficult to plan a chalet where by everyone can turn up.

- Cause it may be our last chalet where we can see almost everyone (An assumption)
- Cause I REALLY don't know when we can have another chalet  (Sad but true)
- Cause chalets are fun
- Cause we all love each other and miss each other

So for those who don't really come to the chalets planned, please do come.

People like:
Guys:
Si Yang
Afiq
Nicholas
Samuel
Zheng Kang

Girls:
Pei Xuan
Katharine
Qian Hui
Jie Hui
Mei Jia
Samantha
Jie Ling
Sahra
Nuurainy
Shabrina

I know you're reading the facebook posts and you'll probably be reading this now. (:

It's always the regulars going for the chalet, and we'll all love to catch up with you guys and just chat! You may feel awkward but come'on, everyone knows each other and we'll all warm up sooner or later. You don't have to stay and you can just join us for the BBQ. (:
Maybe, you can think of this as your last meeting with your lower sec buddies before moving on with your lives as a University student/working adult. And, because the next time we meet each other, it'll be on the streets or in work or in school. Everyone loves each other and I think if there were any bad incidents involved, the hard feelings should have been gone by now right? (:

You can always contact me via Facebook or SMS/Whatsapp for more information.
XW: 9651-6282

WHAT TO DO?:

Let's all go to Adventure Cove on a day of our chalet shall we?

I heard the girls can wear FBTs and shirt if you don't want to wear swimming costumes/bikinis
PS: We can swim with the fishes too.

Or we can head to the Marine Life Park and look at sting rays/jellyfishes!

Our past pictures in chalets and outings

(Another reason why we should all go to the chalet)
Look at how much we've all grown!

So.. Handsome boys  guys

and Pretty girls ladies

Do come for the class chalet okay?
We'd all love to catch up with each other!
I REALLY hope that we'll get to take a class photo and compare the difference on how we've grown since 2007 too. :')

On a side note,
I hope that everyone can save some extra money to pay for the individual chalet money and
going to the adventure cove/marine life park (If everyone is fine with it). It's an occasional thing and we deserve to spend more/for the last time as a class.
I also hope that this will strictly be a chalet for ourselves to enjoy.
Do check out our Facebook page regularly and I hope to see quick responses/replies.

PS: I'm really sorry to those who are going for an internship overseas as I plan this. Really truly sorry.

XOXO,
Xuan Wen

7 months on...

Hey everyone *waves*

I guess not many of you still visit here as often now huh? Unless this blog is set as your browser's homepage... Which to that I say you are awesome. So here's the same old (but still relevant) question - how has everyone been doing thus far? It's almost coming to a full 2 years since we've graduated from Hillgrove (and 4 years since our days in 2E1). I can't even remotely comprehend how fast time is passing by... Sooner or later, our conversations will transition from school and studies to marriage and kids. I hope all of us will still be closely knit then..

Since it's almost the end of the year, it's an exhausting period for most of us as that means a whole lot more tests, projects, examinations and whatnots. Like always, these difficult times will pass quickly so everyone... Pull up your socks to finish the last lap of the year and we'll pull through! Perhaps a little motivation for everyone would be this equation: End of the year = Class chalet.

So when the time draws nearer, do check this blog for more updates regarding the chalet. I know ideas for outings suggested and planned by our lovely and hardworking Xuan Wen failed to see the light of the day due to everyone's different schedules but it's comforting to know that our annual event never fails to take place right?

I shall stop here in case I get all nostalgic and tear. I'll see you guys very soon :)

X,
Audrey

12 February 2012 @ 1:41 AM

Still missing you guys so much. I wish there was more time.

13 June 2011 @ 12:10 AM

Hey babies. Ying Shuang here. I'm so sorry I neglected this space a hell lot.
When's our BBQ? We need to have fun!
And everyone please bring a pouchful of coins its time for some BANLUCK.

Miss you guyz so much so much!! :(

08 May 2011 @ 11:40 AM

Hi all, thinking of holding a class chalet in June. Any thoughts?

If all agrees, I need to know the dates that you are available and unavailable for both JC and Poly students. I'm not sure if your schools have released your schedules for June but upon receiving them, do let me know asap so we can decide on the best dates for everyone.

Also, give some suggestions for the duration of the chalet too. Just FB message me/text me at 9752 2782/leave a comment on the tagboard regarding the details.

Thanks,
Audrey

23 April 2011 @ 8:20 PM

I fucking miss you all. I really do.

07 April 2011 @ 3:05 PM

Yup, it's about time this should be updated. Thanks Jeremy for taking the time to post :) It's quite... Disheartening? To know that only a handful of us are trying to keep the blog alive but I know how everyone's been busy with their (upcoming) tertiary studies so all's well.

For the people currently in JC, I know I'm not in the position to say "I understand" for the
copious amount of stress and hectic schedules and datelines that you guys are facing but do press on. What you're doing now is for your future, the rest of your lives so what is 5 years compared to the end result?

People going to Poly, I guess the freshman orientations and camps will be starting in about 1-2 weeks time? Do have lots of fun and the golden rule about Poly is........... DO NOT PON CLASSES SO MANY TIMES. I figured all of you already know how your attendance in class is vital to your grades but I can't not emphasize this enough hahaha. I know right, if only it was like our Secondary school days, where we can pon over and over again *ahem* and at most, only detentions and essays were given? Haha good times good times :)

No matter where our studies and lives lead us to, and I believe I am speaking for everyone here, all of us will be proud of anyone's success and be there for each other in times of adversities.

Finally, after all the studying is done...

23 March 2011 @ 11:45 PM

Booooooo.

Hello 2e1!!
why th blog like dead, :(
let's have a gathering/chalet soon kay,
when those in JC are able to make it.
really miss us as a whole.
so, meet up soon alright!
love you all. (:

Jeremy.

Growing up sucks.

13 January 2011 @ 12:00 AM

#702

Hey everyone, it's Audrey here. Haha, I know right, what's up with the formal greeting? It's 12am right now and I should really be asleep 'cause I have to be up fucking early later but I was (and still am) on Facebook and almost everyone's status is related to life after the Os. I bet 90% of the conversations these few days are related to that. Now, can I just say that it is really fucking hair-pulling type of irritating to not be able to have a decent conversation with anyone that does not start with inquiries about our results and what school we're planning to head to? (Please... For the love of god, just give all of us a break. Unless you started/enjoy it then okay.)

I was feeling very stressed and unusually pessimistic over life from this point onwards that my mind just shut down completely. I didn't know where I could go to gurgle out everything that has been kept inside of me for so long. I'm not lying when I say this but my fingers just decided to type the url of this blog and here I am...

It's no surprise though. After all this is the place that contains all the memories that we've shared, the times of our lives where everything was just plain innocent, the 2 years where we did not really care that deeply yet about what was going to happen after leaving Secondary 2 and all we ever did care about was treasuring each day of being together.

Remember the Osim chairs in Literature class? Or that time when everyone was repeating the word "noob" like 1500 times a day, so much so that Miss Yvonne Tan picked it up too to make us pay attention in Math class. What about when our class was fired with a lot of erm, constructive comments from the teachers and stereotyping that fighting for our rights actually led to quite a scene... And maybe this is just me but there's always certain period(s) in the year where a few people in our class will get depressed and somehow, almost everyone starts feeling that way too. Haha, talk about class spirit. Last but not least, the class outings and annual class chalets (We should be given an award for being the most consistent class, seriously.) Of course, disagreements surfaced once in a while but look at where we are now.

It's quite funny how fucking nostalgic one can get. It's only been 2 years and I'm already feeling like the world is falling apart and everything can only go downwards from here. Who's to say what's gonna happen when 2024 or something comes? Oh and one more thing... Can you believe that we're turning 17 this year?! No longer are we at the age where we are old enough to understand but still young enough not to care.

Things are going to a lot more different from the 27th. No matter where our lives head to, I really really wish all of you the best for everything that you will start on and encounter. I hope that our two years in this class have at the very least left an impression on you. For me, I can safely and seriously admit that a few of my life's turning points happened with you guys. Change is the only constant thing and it would seem impossible to do this but... I do hope that all of us will keep in contact with one another. Given the technology we have in this world, that is not a difficult task to achieve but because of it, we can also drift apart from each other slowly and unknowingly.

Before you think that this is a farewell post, stop. I'm intending to keep this alive for as long as I live okay? Even when I'm 60/70/80, that is if I can live for that long. Last but definitely not the least, thank you to every single person in this class for without whom, I will not be who I am today.

:)

X, Audrey

Haven't been posting here for a very very long time.
Finally, the BIG O's ARE OVER!
(For the Physics people)
But still, all the best bio students, we'll be ending ours soon.
Press on. :D

Anyway, chalet's already booked in case some of you didn't know,
you can check it out on our class's FB group. Please please

1. Inform me if any of your siblings/parents can help us to
check-in the chalet.
(It's really important, or else we all
can get stuck outside the chalet and sleep with the cockroaches
for 5D4N.)

2. Confirm your attendance on FB ASAP.

PS: We're going to plan activities and have an AWESOME class chalet!
Looking forward to it!

Bye,
Xuan Wen

Oh btw,

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY

WEIXIANG AIRPORK.

@ 6:24 PM

Okay,

so the last time this was updated was on the 31st of July. JULY. THAT WAS 3 MONTHS AGO. WHEN WE HAD 87 DAYS LEFT.

Now we're down to 25 days.

We have a week left of school till we're no longer part of the school, so cherish the people around you. More so than you would normally next week.

I really will miss 1E12007/2E12008. ):

I love how we continued to update this blog even though we've moved on. I don't want to see it die, this blog holds so much. It can't die.

So, I just had to update this. I just had to.

We can do it, we're going to fight through this. With epic skills.

kthxbai,
Sharmain.

31 July 2010 @ 1:13 AM

Okay, hello everyone! :D

I should post more here more often since it's been a looong time since this was updated.
We still have 87 more days till the O levels come.

So let's work hard okay?

This is the final leg of the race, and we have to hang on. Even though most of the time, the O'levels really can be the death of us.

:/

3 more months, and we're out.

WE CAN DO IT.

Sharmain.

18 July 2010 @ 11:11 PM

For memory's sake :)

22 June 2010 @ 12:13 AM

Hi so are we having a BBQ? :D
Sorry for the lack of updates. :(

Oh and I'm Yingshuang.

07 June 2010 @ 4:39 PM

Hello earthlings! I'm blogging from my phone because I'm extremely bored and seeing that only Audrey has been dutifully updating this blog, I feel guilty. Haha.

Don't mind my grammar mistakes because I'm not fully awake or sober enough to care. :P

So, the june holidays have officially started for us. Not really.. looking at how much homework has been piled onto us, I doubt this is actually a holiday.

Anyway, we'll meet up soon for sure. A little get together at east coast/ sentosa probably?

That's it for now. Baaaiii
Sharmain.

This cat is so absofuckinglutely niapish! Hahaha. Wtf, I've been taking the class blog as a place to post all nonsensical stuff :( But it's better than not updating right?

Okay, to answer some of your queries...
1. Class chalet - There is a high possibility that there will be no chalet this month. Reason being it's too late to book one now? Maybe we'll settle for a class BBQ instead or something :)
2. No Wei Qiao, the previous post wasn't Ying Shuang. Lololol.

And this is 3 days late but...
Happy birthday, Afiq!

In the mean time, happy holidays everyone :D Enjoy your remaining stress-free days while you still can.

30 May 2010 @ 9:27 PM
