Fall

In September we took a short trip to NY to visit our friends/family (also referred to as China Family).  It was so nice to be with the Rathjen's again.  We hadn't seen any of our China Family since last summer at Disney.  September was a beautiful time to go.  And a perfect time to go apple picking.  The main reason we went was for Kylee's birthday gift...to see "Pinkalicious the Musical"!  And it was a great excuse to see our friends!

More, Where Have We Been?

August ended with a visit from my (Shauna's) Uncle Jerry & Aunt Linda.  Always fun to have visitors to go sightseeing with.  Otherwise we just hardly do it.

Then my little princess turned 6! We celebrated with a very Pinkatastic Pinkalicious Birthday Party!

School Starts...Kylee starting 1st Grade & Keller starting his last year of Pre-K

And now it's fall!

Kylee went to Violin Camp (Suzuki Institute)... She learned & grew so much. She worked hard & we were all tired at the end of the week. But so glad we did it.

The Rangers

In May we went up to Baltimore to catch my Texas Rangers play the Orioles in Camden Yards. I have always been a Ranger's fan (growing up in the Dallas/Ft Worth area). But living in the East we don't get to see too many games. The last couple of years seeing them in the World Series has been super fun & made me a bigger fan than ever. I was very excited to be able to see them out here & in such a nice ball park. When we arrived at the park we walked in right in front of the pitchers warm up box. After watching for a few minutes one of the coaches turned to us & tossed up the ball. So fun. Oh & the Rangers won. It was a really fun night! Here's to hoping they make it to the World Series again! And win it all this time!

Extracurricular Activities

So this is Kylee's second season to play soccer.  Let's just say there is a big difference over 5 months:  in her interest in the actual game (not the flowers on the field), her energy level & ability.  She is doing great.  And the weather has been much better than the fall too, which makes Mommy's interest level much improved as well.  We all love going to see her & her team play.  We really like her coach too.  He is a parent of one of Kylee's good friends from Kindergarten.  Keller is wanting to play too, so we plan to sign him up in the fall season.

Kylee & Keller have both taken swim lessons this spring, gearing up for mini-swim team this summer.  Kylee is still doing well & loving violin.  She will be attending a Suzuki camp this summer.  Keller finishes his 1st year of pre-k this week.  Kylee has a few more weeks of Kindergarten.  I can't believe summer is already almost here.  But we are looking forward to it.
