CP4099 - Display Technology & Nanoscience - B+
CP5015 - Mass Transfer in Unit Operations 'A' - DISTINCTION

IS1005 - ITP for Diploma in Chemical Engineering - B+
LC0202 - Effective Interpersonal Communication - B
Semester GPA : 3.433
Cumulative GPA : 3.267
well, its not as good as previous semester's results though (GPA 3.84), but my cumulative GPA has risen back up.
at least, there's still hope for local university (BEng Chem Engg @NTU), but if not possible...
then its ---------> BEng Chem Engg @Birmingham
Birmingham isn't a bad alternative either, its Chemical Engineering degree is fully accredited by IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers), same as my Diploma (well... SOON to get Diploma...)
Birmingham even offers a MEng Chem Engg (Master's Degree of Engineering in Chemical Engineering) by adding just 1 extra year after the BEng... and it even comes with Business Management specialisation and Industrial Experience
wah lau eh!! best!! it means much much better job prospects, plus that CHANCE to get to work in giant MNCs such as ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Procter & Gamble, Unilever and many many more!
.
.
.
well, just 1 last semester to go before I left for NS... after which... heh heh heh
:D

Exams flew by... FYP comes knocking on the doorstep...
damned, 4 weeks of supposed "vacation" turns out to be a 20-day hard-work at the Thermal and Fluids Research Lab @NTU School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
bleh...
guys... hope the capillaries we fabricated are successful for further characterisation and experimentation, OTHERWISE... it'll be just another waste of 5 days
and the lab techy isnt happy with us staying in the lab well after office hours, otherwise he'll get the Vice-Dean breathing down our necks

Class Outing @SAF Changi Chalet
yea.. as per class tradition, DCHE 01 had their class chalet... at a familiar place as was in the 2nd class outing... SAF Chalet @Sealand Road
typical... BBQ, adventure, games, fooling around... blah blah blah... blah to the power of 3...
not many turned up, though.. but it was fun (it WAS fun, IF u had stayed overnite... to those who hadn't turned up or didn't stay overnite... u missed out on something fun)
e-Learning week
its full of the same crap again.. login to BB, do assignments, submit.. call it a day... its a bore... but then this time, they gave us 2 weeks of....
Term Break
there was a hidden controversy (exaggerating..) behind the 2 weeks instead of the usual 1... there's a mountain pile of assignments to be completed... NO WONDER!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
goes out to all Mothers out there.. especially to my own Mum
here's a little something for her...
You light up the darkest of nights,
No Moon can put up to..
You had that foresight,
No other could see through..
Hopelessness disappear
A faith in my heart, near
Your soothing voice I hear..
It quells all my fears
Without that lively profound
A heart could never beat
Your kindness knows no bounds
I am deeply touched by it
The sky is ever so blue
Hope for a wish to come true..
God's bliss of heavenly hue,
Is my wish meant for you
i had no suitable title for this one... took me 2 hours to write this one up... but its worth it! =D

Final Week of ITP...
well, its been sucha short 6 weeks at CPTC Jurong Island... i will kinda miss it (lucky for me, i've signed off my mark at various parts of the distillation plant... heheh)
since monday & tuesday are off, wednesday and thursday are the last 2 days i'm gonna set foot on CPTC (and most probably Jurong Island itself... though i might end up working there in the future, who knows?)... so i guess its goodbye to the various trainers of CPTC, but most notably, my group supervisor and SP senior in his own right, Zaidi
so, i better NOT 4get to bring my camera there on wed & thurs else i'll never capture the priceless memories
1st Week of the 3rd & Final Year @SP
on the 17th next week, monday, i'll be the start of my final year in SP... man, time flew way too fast
and that means, FYP (Final Year Project) will commence soon... 1 whole year to dedicate on the most demanding task ever! not to forget, there's 9.... NINE modules this semester (1st half of the final year)... what the hell... luckily only 3 are examinable, heng arh!
but seriously, i kinda miss school anyway... especially for one like me who considers the library his 2nd home (-_-") ... its the truth!
and time continues to burn our lives away... make it all count!

well, ive really really REALLY outdone myself... all that countless of hours of sacrifice in the library, tons of blood, sweat and tears shed and not mentioning all the money spent printing pass year exam papers...
ALL OF THOSE PAINSTAKING, LIFE-DEPRIVING EFFORTS WORTH IT!
no doubt my best performance up-to-date (the 2nd best performance was 1st yr, 1st sem... GPA 3.545), i only regretted that i got GPA 2.6 for 1st yr 2nd sem.... damn that ortho para meta diddly-squat...
some ppl even say i mite get an Outstanding Student Award for this semester... i just hope to make it to NTU in the future... or at least serve the country as a Specialist/Engineer

progress on Industrial Training : smooth sailing
2 weeks have passed, and the log book grades are good too (got a B & C+ for the 1st week, but then improved drastically by getting a B+ & A for the 2nd week)
a feat : climbed up and VANDALISED EACH PLATFORM of C-100 and C-101 (the distillation column and side stripper column respectively)... the distillation column in equivalent to a 9-storey HDB flat in terms of height, without any walls and floor... save for the metal gratings and grab holds... FUN AH!!! (can feel the winds scarring my cheeks...)
can't wait to start the Kerosene Distillation Unit plant... can't wait to produce Low Aromatic White Spirit from Kerosene... using more than 4 Pumps (both Positive Displacement and Centrifugal types), about 9 Heat Exchangers (most are Shell-and-Tube HEU), about 3 compressors (some to compress air, fuel gas...), the Nitrogen system line, Steam line, Plant/Instrument Air lines, Cooling Water System (CWS)...
and not forgetting the depressurising point, the flare itself (its such a romantic sight above the distillation column watching the flare tower flaring off under the cool nite sky...)
and 2moro is the release of semestral exam results... lets see how I fared off for my 2nd sem of my 2nd yr in SP... hope to Ace some modules
and i feel like an Engineer wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when on the field...
