2 hours in front of the computer - filling up applications to UOS, reading the rows of sadly neglected email from my sponsor and classmates, swooping down at whatever faint possibility of temporary accomodation in Sydney. It's not so much of a nightmare as the sinking feeling of having to take more responsibility for my life from now on.
Don't the bits of orange things floating on top resemble GM maggots? I get a great cheap thrill from chewing them.
Have heard that drinking tea is great for reducing absorption of fat from diet. Shall drink tea more often from now on.
Also wonder what is it about hot tea that has the ability to calm nerves. Is it the heat of the tea? Since I don't think cold tea does not have a similar sothing effect. Have heard somewhere that one of the east asian countries (China or Korea) has a high incidence of throat cancer becuase they drink a lot of hot tea. Something about the heat of the tea producing maglinant cells. Maybe that why tea is calming. The heat of the tea in the throat triggers a low-grade inflammatory response, which signals your brain to cease producing stress-inducing hormones (which increases your heart rate), instead to dedicate more efforts to producing anti-inflammatory factors to bring down inflammation and repair the damaged epithelial cells of the throat.
Sigh. I am still barely coherent.
