shall we have a class outing to bkk?? i dying to go there shop for 10 years liao hohoho..and i heard the food is rather good too!! hee..shud be travelling by jetstar asia..i onli got the airfare but shud be staying at asia hotel which isn't too ex and super convenient according to debbie ahhaha

Have you been stressed? I mean not just normal everyday-life-assignment-due-tomorrow-stress.. I mean the once-in-a-blue-moon-pigs-flying-heads-exploding-STRESS! Yes, tomorrow is Nation-Building test and I have a Crazy Critical Thinking & Writing Assignment (21%!!!) to complete. Friday is Psycho Physics Test and with the generous dosage of voluptuous integrals, I am still struggling to cover the bear skeleton formulas. Let's not delve into the maddening Mathematics on Terrible Thursday. Thank God it's easier than the rest of the modules comparatively. But Hey! Does it strike you that when you find it relatively easier, everyone will find it a chicken feet too. (Read imminent bird flu)
Die die die. The death knell is about to be sounded, the grim reaper is close enough to molest me. What am I to do?!
Wait, why am I still at the computer?!

Why are some Singaporeans like that?
Realised its been a long time since i blogged. Just saw a sight on the way back which prompted me to think... Cant help but blog it down...
As like most other weekends, there were flagsellers all over the island today.. i think one of the collection booths was at TiongBahru MRT station.. if i didnt read wrongly it was for the Moral Home of the Aged (Bukit Panjang).....
Just as i exited the station.. saw this family...
Grandma (to the kid) : "你刚才有捐钱啊?你给多少?"
Mother (of the kid) : "他今天带出来的全拿出来了..."
Grandma (to the kid again): "哎哊,全给他啊? 做么你这么笨? 笨的咧你... .... 你的钱给他们拿去建 office 啊....不要这么笨嘛你..." .......
I cant help at this time but to turn around and look at that poor kid... the grandma saw my reaction.. but i wonder if she knew i meant to empathise with the kid and not meant to agree with her that he was really "stooopid"...
Sighz.. wat has the world become of.. or rather.. wat has singapore become of... Was it reli a "stooopid" action of the kid who tried to do his part for community by making a small donation... I dun think that amount can be huge lor, even though its all the money he brought out for the day.. if it was reli that much, the mother (or grandmother) would have already killed him on the spot liao la.. so.. i believe its just a matter of cents.. Poor little kid.. trying to be kind and all he got was scolding.. Wat were the parents thinking? If donating to charity is "stooopid".. then are u teaching that kid to be smart and learn how to cheat pple of their money probably by some means like stealing or lying..
Sighz.. reminded of a talk i went to ystd where the prof mentioned that Singaporeans are highly unsensitive (to people's thoughts and feelings)... i guess its true to a large extent maybe... We probably need Jack Neo to come up with many more versions of "I Not Stupid" to educate the public at large...

The trick is to keep breathing
The prophesy I made last year has finally materialised!
I will be eating, drinking and breathing OT next semester.
What are the signs?
- When school for you commences at 9 in the morning and ends drearily at 8+ at night amidst incomplete of discussions of of a work program for the mentally ill - which constitutes a measly 20% of the module!
- When you sleep at 1am in the morning in order to wake up at 6+am the next morning to do work, just in time to see your fellow classmates on MSN as well.
- When you apply deep breathing techniques on yourself ( Eh don't look down on me ok. I have led relaxation sessions a few times!) at 1am in the morning and remain insomniac for the rest of the night.
- When words and acronyms such as MOHO, RMBT, SI, ADLs, TEP, SE, HB, HL, JH, SY, CM, occupational performance, apraxia, cognition and Kielhofner dominate your indecipherable thoughts and speech.
- When you find youself seeing OT books as a symbol of power and perversely refusing to return them even as they are reserved by your fellow peers.
- When you find youself spending more time with the photocopy machine than with your own diary.
- When you find youself buying a new box of paper-fasteners.
- When piles of OT journal articles start piling up in your PARENTS' room.
- When you find youself collecting NTUC plastic bags to contain the same pile of journal articles which are deemed less than useful.
