Wallet Transact API now supports major UTXO-based chains like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Dogecoin, simplifying transactions and reducing development effort.

Today, we announce that our Wallet Transact API now supports all major UTXO-based chains, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Dogecoin

This support now standardizes read and write functionality across these chains for customers, reducing development effort, saving costs, and accelerating your speed to market.

Wallet Transact API’s New Improvements

Historically, managing transactions across UTXO-based chains like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin was complex and time-consuming.

Each chain, despite their similarities, required separate implementations for sending, creating, and compiling transactions. This fragmentation increased engineering overhead, led to more errors, and delayed deployment.

Our new Wallet Transact API improvements solve these issues by standardizing balance and transaction functions:

  • Standardized Transaction Functions: Easily create, compile, and decode transactions before broadcasting them. This standardization eliminates the need for separate implementations across different UTXO-based chains, bringing consistency and reducing development effort.
  • Fee Estimation: Accurately predict transaction fees across all major UTXO-based chains to avoid overpayments.
  • Native Support: Choose between native or Wallet Transact’s RESTful API methods for each chain to suit your specific needs. You have the ability to integrate RPC endpoints to directly interact with the blockchain.

Coming Soon: Event Streaming

In Q3, we plan to introduce event streaming for UTXO-based protocols. With event streaming, you will be able to monitor and respond to blockchain events as they occur, allowing for proactive management and quicker decision-making.

Conclusion

With these updates, Wallet Transact has introduced a streamlined approach for UTXO-based chains, from retrieving balances to sending transactions, simplifying how you interact, build, and manage your supported services.
