Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova will each play in their first-ever Wimbledon women's singles final on Saturday.

Paolini and Krejcikova each outlasted their opponents in three-set thrillers inside Centre Court on Thursday.

Paolini battled past Donna Vekic in a third-set tiebreak in Thursday's opening match.

Krejcikova overcame a one-set deficit against 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina to book her place in the final, where she will go after her second-ever Grand Slam singles title.

Krejcikova is the lower seed in the matchup with Paolini, but she owns the sole Grand Slam singles title between the two players.

The No. 31 seed won the 2021 French Open and advanced to four more quarterfinals on the singles level since then.

Krejcikova is also one of the most skilled doubles players on the WTA Tour with seven Grand Slam titles in that discipline.

The Czech player faced the tougher road to get to the final, as she dispatched former major champions Jelena Ostapenko and Elena Rybakina in the last two rounds. She also beat 11th-seeded American Danielle Collins in the round of 16.

Paolini's been the breakout star on the Grand Slam circuit this season. She captured the spotlight with an unlikely run to the French Open final and carried that form into Wimbledon.

The dynamic seventh-seeded Italian fought through her toughest match of the tournament to date on Thursday. She ousted unseeded Donna Vekic in a third-set tiebreak.

Paolini played only one three-set match on her way to the final. She advanced past Madison Keys in the fourth round due to an injury retirement in the third set by Keys.

Paolini does have one loss in her career against Krejcikova, but that came back in 2018 well before she was in the top 10 of the WTA rankings.

The combination of Paolini's dynamic rise to the top and Krejcikova's Grand Slam experience should produce a compelling final that could go the distance on Saturday.
