David Oyelowo is a champion sword fighter. Actor @davidoyelowo says he was completely obsessed with stage combat at drama school, and even won awards for it. He told Front Row his latest role - as Shakespeare’s Coriolanus at the National Theatre – means he’s finally got the chance to flex those sword fighting skills again. While this basic set certainly isn't everything you can do with a sword, it's all you should *want to do with a sword, because swordfights should not be drawn out affairs (nor should any fight, for that matter). This set was taught to me by my teacher, Huh Mon Gil, in the 90s, who is an amazingly slick swordsman.
