Jul 3, 2011 · My neighbor gave me something called the P7816 Ultrasonic Attack Wave Pestrepeller, which gets fair reviews on Amazon, including a couple from flock keepers. It operates at a frequency between 30,000 Hz and 65,000 Hz, which should be well above what a chicken can hear, which I've read online is 9.1 Hz to 7,200 Hz.

Apr 13, 2011 · Have any of you ever used an ultrasonic bird repeller for keeping chickens off of or out of a place? They poop all over my garage pad, and I hate to keep them cooped up all day. There are some for about 40-50 dollars and I think it would be totally worth a try, but I wanted to see if any of you guys have tried this. Thanks all, Sara

May 7, 2015 · I've been catching rats and mice (in addition to sparrows and chipmunks) in the duck run for such a long time. Recently, I've come across a device claiming effectiveness against insects, arachnids and small rodents. It is called "Ultrasonic Pest Repeller". I was wondering if this device would at any way affect my ducks.

Mar 10, 2010 · All of the tests I have heard about show the ultrasonic repellers do not work at all. They are likely to be just as (in)effective on chickens. Ditto, I don't know about the tests, but they certainly do not seem to do anything in real life situations. Rats Bats you name it, they all seem to laugh at the devices.
