Aug 30, 2019 · Hi, I uninstalled the device driver, rebooted windows which then automatically installed the driver again, this time it added an App called Synoptics Touchpad, I opened this app and there was a button to click for either settings or properties, if you click on that it opens up another box with a box ticked for tap, untick this box and save, all fixed.

Mar 25, 2019 · I don't have a touchpad tab in my mouse settings. I don't have a button in the bottom right corner to disable tap to click as I have in all my other laptops over the years. I bought this laptop for one single purpose: Work. Tap to click significantly impairs my ability to work. This is a useless laptop if I can't disable that one annoying feature.

Sep 16, 2019 · For a laptop with trackpad buttons (precision 3510) it seems weird not not be able to disable tapping. But that appears to be what Dell did with their proprietary trackpad control drivers/app.

He wasn't able to turn off 'touch to click' -- I really like this hardware, but this is a deal breaker for me. I can't stand errant touch clicks (drive me nuts) and only want clicks which are mechanical.

Dec 23, 2016 · I would like to disable tap to click on the touchpad. I always use the click on the bottom of the touchpad and the tap to click just leads to a bunch of misclicks. In the toucpad settings I can find options to disable 2-finger tap to click, 3-finger, or 4-finger, but none of these affect 1-finger tap to click, which I cannot find an option for.
