Dec 26, 2023 · I really appreciate having a sleep timer available in the podcast app. Does anyone know if there is a way to access a sleep timer in the Apple News App or do stories just play endlessly if I don’t take action? I was told that I can use a regular timer in the Clock app and select the “Stop Playing” option instead of a ring tone.

Dec 9, 2019 · Use the timer or stopwatch on iPhone-- Open the Clock application, and check the settings for Timer. Make sure that "When Timer Ends" that "Stop Playing" has been selected. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch-- If the setting is correct, restart your iPhone. Once it's returned to the Home screen, see if the Timer works as expected now.

Dec 2, 2024 · So, I've set up a simple shortcut to set the volume on my phone, play some sleep-helpful music, and set a timer to stop the music after a period of time. No problem there. However, I use the Standby feature at night, with it set to automatically have the screen go off (and on) dependent on whether there's motion.

I upgraded from iPhone 12 to 14 Pro and have had problems ever since with my timer and alarm on my Clock App not working properly. Nothing consistent. The timer may work once or twice every 20 times. Doesn’t matter how long I set it for. Alarm doesn’t always work either.

Oct 11, 2017 · The lowest button on our app is airplay, scroll down and the sleep timer moon icon is just underneath. Hope that helps. Ed. P.s. if I were Apple I would have moved the speed button downwards and kept the sleep timer on the immediately visible playback screen.

Nov 20, 2022 · Yes, my TV has a sleep timer, but I use my Apple TV remote exclusively to control my TV volume. Because my Apple TV is connected via HDMI, the TV shuts down when I turn off my Apple TV. It is inconvenient to say the least to have to turn on my TV with its remote and set a sleep timer, then transition to Apple TV.

Jun 26, 2021 · The sleep timer in podcasts doesn’t work as expected. I subscribe to many podcasts. If I set my timer to say 30 min and the current podcast is less than 30 min, then it starts playing next podcasts and doesn’t stop even if 30 min are up. It seems to consider the time for ONLY that podcast channel and auto plays others disregarding my timer.
