help with understanding hydraulic breakers- mini skid steer
Mar 2, 2018 · Hey y'all- I just purchased a (new to me Boxer diesel) mini skid steer, having finally sold my smaller older wheel-model Dingo, and I'm getting geared up for the year. I have been interested in a hydraulic breaker for a while now. I understand that the size & force of the breaker is dictated by the size and pump flow of the machine.

Apr 7, 2016 · Unless you need to drive it through a doorway, stay away from the 2000lb machines. Don't have personal experience with a track dumper but can attest that a skid or mini skid would be the wrong machine for concrete prep on tight residential sites. If you pour on a daily basis, I'd be looking at buying a little ball valve pump.

Has anyone set precast 4000 pound blocks with a skid steer?
Apr 9, 2019 · They were 6’ long. 4000 lbs sounds about the correct weight. I don’t think a skid steer is the best option. The rebar lift rings can brake off dropping the block so be careful under and around them and don’t get under them. They also swing around lot when lifted so you would hate to have one swing into the front of the skid steer.

Jan 6, 2007 · I make good money at it. Concrete removal represents about 25% of our gross income. That is inconjunction with preparing base for new concrete. I use an Okada breaker on a 440 CASE skid steer. I don't see any problem putting a breaker on a skid steer and I bought my first breaker in 1996. I also use the breaker to break lava rock.
