Feb 6, 2017 · In order to get the strings on I had to wind the exposed winding of the E string around the tuning pegs. a convenient void of Rotosound's warranty. I have installed the strings perfectly with the exposed core around 6mm off the bridge and yet there is still a good 1"-1 1/2" of exposed wire around the tuning peg.
Rotosound strings sound amazing... but at what cost?
Jan 2, 2024 · In comparison to other strings, I find that my fingers move significantly slower on rotosound roundwound strings. It's like sacrificing your fingers for an amazing tone. Anyone know some strings that sound like Rotosound Swing Bass strings but don't destroy fingertips?

Jan 10, 2024 · it all started because I wanted to try light strings and gradually decreased from 50-110 to 40-95, and so the step was small to the FM66; I liked them so much that they became my go-to strings for years, until I decided to retry heavier gauges (gradually). I left them only on a fretless bass that I sold after some months.
