Quill was one of the few students who had retained his powers during House of M, he continued to stay and learn at the Mansion but the Squad System had been disbanded. During the attack on the Mansion by Reverend William Stryker, quill met his fate and died. Max grew porcupine quills instead of hair, Which could be fired as high-speed projectiles.

Ken Leung portrays Quill in X-Men: The Last Stand and would go on to play Karnak in Marvel's Inhumans. In the film X-Men: The Last Stand, the character played by Ken Leung is listed in the screen credits as "Kid Omega"; however his powers are those of Quill.
