looking for your pool bonding wire connection and i can't find it
Mar 21, 2020 · If you are looking for your bonding wire then you are looking for a #8 bare copper wire, about 1/8" in diameter. This is what it looks like connected to the back of a pump. Look to identify the bonding lugs on your pumps, heater, and automation panel. There is no way to see a wire like that with the pics you posted.

Mar 15, 2022 · During deck installation we found that bonding wire from the pool to the equipment pad is broken. I think there was some void and shotcrete while fixing broke the bonding wire. Now I don’t have access to broken wire which inside the shotcrete some where. Electrician came back and ran another wire to the equipment pad as attached in the picture.

Normally it runs from the pump and heater to a loop all the way around the pool which also contacts to rebar in the concrete (if you have concrete) and the ladders (if your ladders are metal).

Jun 29, 2020 · A split bolt allows you to add on the the existing bonding wire anywhere in-line without cutting. I just picked up a two pack from Home Depot for size 8 wire for less than $4. Size 8 wire copper solid. Attach to the lug in the photo below and the split bolt to the existing bonding wire and you are good to go.
