What is Pearl? Pearl is a historical district and culture hub in the center of San Antonio. People live, work, and gather here. The property was a brewery from the early 1880s until 1999, when Pearl beer moved its operations elsewhere. Pearl is home to many spirited visionaries who each paint a unique portrait of our past, present, and future.

The centerpiece of the Pearl District in San Antonio is a luxury hotel with several attendant restaurants located in the renovated Pearl Brewery, also once known as the home to the San Antonio Brewing Association.

All surface lots at Pearl will be free Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 2 PM. Meet me at Pearl. Whether you’re visiting the historic Hotel Emma, stopping in for lunch or dinner, or picnicking in the plazas, you’ll find parking surrounds Pearl, with lots and garages dotted throughout the campus for a reasonable fixed rate.

At its current home at Pearl, the Twig features newly released books for children and adults, award-winning classics, and an extensive Texana section. Regularly hosting author appearances, readings, and its beloved Twiglet Story Time, the Twig remains a literary destination and San Antonio treasure.
