Mile Marker winches....good, bad,otherwise?? - Pirate 4x4
Apr 16, 2004 · they spooled the winch out and hooked it up. ohhhh my god it was the slowest thing I had ever seen. there were probably about 10 of us there ragging on what a pile the thing was I kinda felt bad for the guy that got the free winch but I honstly wouldnt buy one unless it was for an extra rear winch or something and a damn good deal.

May 4, 2006 · Not all Mile Marker winches are created equally, and the same goes for all the brands. You bought a permanent magent motor winch and those ones are not much better than the ones you can buy at harbor Freight or CostCo. My SE9500 Mile Marker has gotten me and lots of other people out of all sorts of tight places time and again.

Aug 19, 2002 · Of course the main factor determining winch speed is pump volume. So, if you're going to run a small pump, the winch will always be slow and it doesn't matter which one you get. If you're gonna run a pump up to 6 gpm get a 70-series winch with 34-series solenoids.
WARN HUBS vs MILE MARKER vs SUPERWINCH - Pirate 4x4
Mar 26, 2008 · I can get a set of dana 60 super winch hubs for 89 bucks from my buddy that has a shop..where as the warns are 189, and mile marker are 169, which should i go with. i have added more power now, and the new axle has bigger gears and locker. so im not sure if the superwinch ones would hold up.(this is a D60 456 locked) What i have read off the net.

Aug 1, 2018 · With Winch: PS Pump----> Winch----> Gearbox ----> back to PS Pump.... When the winch is not in use, it is just an open loop from the PS Pump through to the Gearbox. It does not affect the steering power at all. This can also be used with hydroboost. The concept is the same with the winch being between the pump and the hydroboost.

Sep 2, 2006 · I am not sure bout the hydraulic winches, butMile Marker makes a horrible electric winch. A friend of mine bought an 8k electric and after only a couple months all the metal on the winch was very rusty. The second time he used it to pull out his cj7 (31" tires) from a mild stuck the fairlead bent and the cable snapped.

Dec 20, 2004 · On another side note, I actually broke one of the main supports for my milemarker winch (the part that bolts to the winch plate, and dont' ask how :shaking I called milemarker (a human being answered the phone) and they sent me a new one, received it in 3 days :grinpimp: great customer service.

Sep 23, 2011 · The mile marker winches you keep referring to use a electro-mechanical valve. They also use low flow and low psi motors so they can utilize a ps pump. Your winch will require a much larger pump and res.
