May 3, 2018 · After I have no idea what update my computer did, there is a local disk K: pops out, 33.8mb free out of 449mb. I opened it, there is nothing inside. But I keep getting "local disk K storage almost full" message pops out whatever I'm doing. It's getting annoying now, and I have no idea what this disk is for, and why is it here.

May 4, 2016 · Put a CD or DVD in the drive, and it'll show on the left also. That's the way Windows 10 works, you don't see the drive on the left unless there's a disc in the drive.

Jericho Lap suggested I check AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ Windows\StartMenu\ Programs\Startup (and checking for hidden items), which worked briefly, but the problem is back.

May 24, 2018 · It has been happening with new update that new drive is getting uncovered and you start getting low space notifications. You can do following to hide it and there will be no harm anywhere. Type diskpart in Windows Start Search box (Cortana) > Right click on Diskpart and Run as Administrator Give following command and Enter: select volume k

May 27, 2018 · Once you do this, you won't be pestered with low disk space notifications anymore. You will need to remove the drive letter and mount point in DiskPart in order to do this. Hit Windows key + R together to go into Run. Type in the following: diskpart Enter the following in the new DiskPart window: select volume K remove letter=K
