Cyric also pulled a yoinky sploinky on him and took over as the god of murder. But, through the power of copious amounts of (probably non-consensual, and violent) sex, Bhaal pulled a Voldemort and used the Bhaalspawn like horcruxes in order to technically not die .

Dec 30, 2021 · On Marpenoth 15, 1358 DR, Cyric successfully ascended to godhood and killed Leira, the original Princess of Lies. After the demise of the original three gods of prime evil, Cyric managed to take over their titles, making himself the God of Deception, Murder, Strife, the Dead (a title he later lost to Kelemvor) and Intrigue (when he temporarily ...
Why is Cyric allowed to retain his divine status? : r ... - Reddit
Feb 15, 2021 · Cyric didn't usurp any of the deities during the ToT which allowed for his ascension. Now to the bigger question, a lot of really, really bad plot decisions were made in the late '00s and early teens at WotC regarding DnD in general and the Realms in particular, which is probably why a lot of that era stuff doesn't really make much sense.

Dec 24, 2022 · So instead of Cyric, Kelemvor and Cyric becoming gods, Set took up Bane & Bhaal's portfolio; Isis, Thoth and Set split Mystra's portfolio between them, and Osiris took Myrkul's spot. Horus-Ra replaced the long-dead Aumanator as sun god. I think most of the PCs ended up being Chosen of the Mulhorandi dieties that had used them as pawns.

Nov 25, 2021 · At the moment I'm running a Cyric-centric campaing in DnD . The main plot is about Cyric escaping his prison in Supreme Throne and physically coming to Faerun via the ancient elfish portal in the Firestorm Peak. At one point I planned to use Shar's clergy as allies of the main antagonist - Strife Leader.

Jun 10, 2024 · The BBEG in my level 1-20 campaign was a debilitated version of the god Cyric. I homebrewed a statblock for him and it made for an incredibly fun combat! His Wheel of Fortune weapon was nerve-wracking for the players and his lair added a time-sensitive component.
