Yeah typically it'll be either the newer BMW or the older 911 if you compare by price. I personally would still probably go for the 911 for the driving experience and how they hold their value, but the BMW will be more comfortable probably, more practical, faster in a straight line, and have better tech. The M8 competes with the Continental GT and the DB11 in performance for $40K+ less.

Feb 15, 2023 · FYI I have a quote from a BMW dealer in CA that sells their extended warranties to forum members at a friend's and family discount (guessing 20% over cost). The full 7yr/100K Platinum package (don't go for the others as they do not cover Infotainment which is the brains of the car) is about half of what BMW quoted me.

Aug 7, 2022 · I only looked up the M8 which only has one batter and it is Lion. Not sure about the M850i..... According to the BMW manual jumping is only allowed from those posts upfront because they are protected on the positive side before the battery. So if the M850i only has one battery like the M8 you can trickle it from there as well. _____
