Nov 16, 2014 · The anime is following the Akame ga KILL! (non zero) manga and from what I can recall is close to chapter 48 of the manga as of episode 18. So, if you want to follow the story of the anime read the first title you posted, the Zero version is a prequel which introduces some characters which may or may not be met again in the principal storyline.

Jul 28, 2017 · The anime talks about the characters leveling up, as if they somehow know that they aren't real. If you or I gained more skilled, we'd say we became more advanced in X skill, or were more skillful that we were previously. Or is this something that is in the manga's backstory that isn't fully explained in the anime?
