Oct 13, 2009 · has anyone used the socom stocks from ace ? iam buliding my first ar15and iam considering an ace socom stock . the main purpose of my ar is gonna be for self defense and target shooting , i plan on taking a carbine class in the future . are these stocks any good or are they alot of hype?

Mar 14, 2005 · I have one with a standard collapsible stock and the ace socom, and the ace is much much stronger and has zero wobble. For regular use, it probably doesn't do anything better (except for sling mounting options) but then again niether does the magpul.

Apr 9, 2016 · The ACE is one of the softest shooting stocks I have used on the .458 but it is very heavy, which is the reason I switched to the CTR, plus the fact that the CTR remains instantly adjustable. For recoil reduction though, the ACE M4 SOCOM is fantastic, just lock it into position.

The lower has about 600 rounds through it, the upper around 2K. The problem: 4 bolt-override fail to feed malfunctions in about 50 rounds.
