I feel like AP scholar with distinction isn’t that prestigious since it isn’t that difficult to get, but it lets me check off the “international level of distinction” box; the research award is only regional/state level.

Aug 15, 2021 · Honestly the AP Scholar awards are barely worth anything. The difference between AP Scholar and AP Scholar with Honors is essentially none, and the slightly better award won't make or break any college application. You're far better off hoping to get a credit with a 3 than with the extra 2 words of application padding.

Jul 7, 2019 · Yes, you qualify for the AP Scholar with distinction award; your average is 3.6 if I did my head math correctly and you have 5 scores of 3 or higher. Unless you have other lower scores, you do qualify.
