President Donald Trump has ended the de minimis exemption, which previously allowed Temu, Shein, and other online retailers to send packages from China to the US valued under $800 duty-free.
Earlier this week, Trump's executive orders for tariffs on Chinese goods also ended "de minimis," which allows retailers like Shein, Temu and Amazon to send packages to the U.S. quickly and cheaply.

Shein and Temu goods might not be so cheap anymore. Starting today, the U.S. will start collecting import fees on small packages from China, much of which comes from Chinese e-commerce sites.
